Big Mel AKA Mellanaire was born Raphael Hunte. Coming from a talented back ground, the heart and back bone of reggae music. Later migrating with his family to the beautiful Island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, where he entered into his first major show, whilst still in primary school, he came third place in the junior soca monarch. From there he started to pursued his musical career, not long after he then migrated to Barbados. Here he began linking up with major producers from Hit Island studio', such as Papa T and KB Sharp. After working with these producers, Mellanaire began to push his musiccal career with all his stregth, helping the world in realizing his talent, and for them to hear the unique voice of Mellanaire. One of very few artists, with a drive and passion, of which he carries with him at all times. Bigmel AKA Mellanaire has shared stages around the world with sign and Unsign artist. He has performed on stage in St Lucia, Gatey Bay alongside Capleton and Ninja Dan one of the most famous Soca artists of St Lucia. He also work in St Vincent & The Grenadines, sharing the stage with Serani & Erupt Fullly Govern in 2008. From there Mellanaire performed in many major show, he has performed on stage in Toronto Canada, also sharing the stage with Sizzla kalonji at 'show at the Docks'. And went onto perform at multiple show in Barbados. Mellanaire has had the pleasure of working along side the energetic band 'Strategy' over the years. He migrated to the UK, not leaving his talent behind, Mellanaire blew the UK away with his live performances within many Carnivals sharing stages with the likes of Donae'o a UK artist and Biggie Irie from Barbados. He was also guest appearence at the TT races held in the Isle of Man. In the UK he has work with Killa P of Roll Deep and many more. Mellanaire is a really determined artist, with alot to give in order to persue his life of music. Prepare yourself for whats to Come of this versitile artist. The one and only Mellanaire.
