About MG & the Orbs

MG & the Orbs, has been around since 2011. We've entertained the public in clubs, restaurants, and outdoor festivals, with our Red Hot Blues, and very danceable Classic R&B. Sometimes we add a little jazz depending on the venue. The musicians are top-notch session players, with a vast list of world-famous bands that they have either toured or recorded with in the past and present.
MG (Maria Giorgio) has over 10 yrs. of Belle Canto training and a range of 3 1/2 octraves. With a little piano and now studying harmonica. (it can't hurt) She has been involved in the entertainment industry both on stage and behind the scenes. Singing with bands that do covers as well as originals, musical theater and has recently received copyrights for five of her own songs. After the pandemic is over, we will go into the studio and record them.
In 2020, when the pandemic was at its peak, MG discovered MetropolitanZoom, where the former owner of NYC's Metropolitan Room NYC, arranged for performers to continue to sing and play on Zoom every week. Now, there's a studio location in LIC, NY with a formal studio for live shows. The audience watches through Zoom. Tickets are reasonable and it keeps everybody really happy!
We're looking forward to performing live again, which is when we will bring you our originals played by absolutely fantastic musicians.
