A Promise is Stronger than Blood
Song Reviews
"Promises Kept In Song!"
The promise Michael Anthony Milton sings about is certainly kept by his voice and the words to "A Promise is Stronger Than Blood". Mr. Milton's voice is both gentle and powerful, and delivers his message with both joy and love; and contains another factor, certainly rarely found in today's music, sincerity! What a pleasure to hear his beautiful voice deliver such a meaningful message! The instrumentation backing Mr. Milton's voice is perfectly balanced with his vocal arrangement. It never overpowers his words, but is there and beautifully compliments him. If Mr. Milton is not doing live concerts, he should certainly consider doing so. He would absolutely fill many church halls and perhaps even join other devotional artists and fill an arena! He is a very talented singer and musician, and people who are searching for a talent such as his would gladly pay an admission fee to see and hear him. His sincerity and love of his Lord are immediately present in both his words and his guitar accompaniment, and it is a joy to hear him. It would be an even greater gift to see and hear him in person! It was a true pleasure to listen to Michael Anthony Milton!

Strong song
A lovely well rounded song with a catchy melody, with violin reinforcing that nicely, perfect for its genre. An array of instruments enhancing the overall feel, which verges on the brink of overproduction, but that could just be the volume of the lead instruments in the mix. The wind instrument as a lovely addition giving the song an extra flavour.

Enchanting Graceful Song!
Very beautifully written. Love the guitar riffs, backing vocals and development of the lyrics. It just flowed and enveloped like a kiss from above. Smooth, Gentle flowing, graceful and enchanting.

A country Christian style
This song is a quiet ballad, with an interesting rhythm and a relaxing atmosphere to listen. You play very well different instruments and your voice is good. There's a country insert back.

Michael's Promise
Michael Anthony Milton's "Promise Is Stronger Than Blood" is a meticulously crafted and presented set piece demonstrating mastery of mountain styles of singing and musicianship woven together in a way that kept me listening from start to finish. The vocals, the variety of instruments, the tasteful way each contributes to the ensemble feel are elements that arise only from immersion over a lifetime in the traditions of mountain music. The title of the tune intrigued me enough to listen for perhaps a new take on the theme of Christian outreach, an idiom prone to lean on time-worn phrases. I would like to have heard a story of a single person, perhaps the singer, perhaps his friend or someone intimate, through whose eyes and body we can experience the transforming effect of the Promise, or learn what distinguishes the Promise from the Blood. I hope I'm not asking too much because to me there's a story here waiting to be told, I one that I would return again and again to hear carried on the swells of this exceptional musicianship.

A Promise Is Stronger Than Blood
I like this song a lot. A Promise Is Stronger Than Blood is so compelling from opening to ending as I listen to the foundation of Grace and how we transcend this life because of it. . The balance of instruments is stellar, the production is exceptional. Mike's voice is clear, rich and melodic. The message resonates like the wind through a canyon wall and is a portal to those unsure as a way to discover the meaning of our Lord's promise and salvation. Nice!

In MY Opinion
Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. GREAT JOB - WONDERFUL SONG .The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoyed the soft guitar and fiddle work. Vocals are smooth and natural, sort of - down to earth as they say, and extremely peaceful. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

bien

Nice message Gospel of truth
In this broken world this message is needed. The only saviour is Yeshua(Jesus) christ. Is it a banjo in the background ? It is ell suited for the song and also the flute in the background. I miss 2 things in this beautiful song. 1 is a underlying bass that marking the tempo and also some native drums or something. Maybe a tambourine ? I like the song a lot and the message is needed in this fallen world..

I promise you won't regret to listen ;-)
I think this song is really something special in the country folk genre. The introducing starts of with the main topic of the song. The intro feels like a story. Melancholic ballad from M.A. Milton as vocalist and great instrumentalist with his guitar. But the whole song is more various. His virtuos played acoustic guitar increases this tune and the gently melody of the violin and banjo brings additionally beauty into the music. The imaginative transitions from the stanza to the chorus makes the song lively and creative. This song is from a musician with a great talent to give an account in words about someone or something, including all relevant characteristics, qualities, or events. The chorus is impressive and has a important message what makes the meaning of the song engaging for me. Also the mixing and mastering is professionell. This a perfect arrangement influenced by country and folk music with christian elements in perfect orchestration. The song is going hand in hand with questions of own problems and touches the soul. But why do I tell this? Well, you might be a country music fan, surching for the light at the end of the tunnel for good recordings. This song could be a radio hit and I´m sure you will also like to add it. Let others know your recommedation.

Nice!
Relaxing lyrics beautiful vocals. The flow of the lyrics really can help with harmonizing it is very evident here snorting that. A beautiful voice is not a learned or practiced trait as much as it is a born in Talent and this is one of those situations well done!
