Hello everyone I just uploaded my latest song I call it The Hammer of God. If anyone out there knows scripture and follows bible prophecy as I do it's a fitting title.

I have nearly broke !,000,000 plays on N1M as of this posting I have 958,495 plays. Never in my wildest dreams did I think 1000 plays let alone possibly 1,000,000. Maybe before the end of this year. If you enjoy my songs (rough as they are) please help me meet the mark.

I just found this little 1:20 nugget back when I was writing Young Dick Tracy and going through the entire Tracy song writing phase I thought some guitarists might be interested... It's not perfect but Its a jewel because its real and all me, This was probably one of the first incarnations of the song because eventually I settled on that cool hook line I came up with. Note the end of the song shows me day dreaming or something then recovering instantly from a mistake or two...

thank you for the kind words of encouragement, the friendships I've made along the way and support, it means a lot. I have been so blessed by all of you who have taken the time to introduce themselves to me. A special thanks to all of you who wrote the over 200 and something reviews of my songs... That in itself was mind blowing WOW.

I had no idea that so many would respond with such great comments. How to improve my songs, my over all sound quality, recording technics.

I have been told that my songs are amazing but I should fire my engineer ... "he's holding you back" hahaha wow thats a good one! ... I apologize to everyone. Unfortunately I am the sound engineer! Yep I'm the guy who can't quit get it right. But the raving reviews I have received regarding my guitar playing has been so delightful unexpected and humbling. I am wishing everyone a fantastic 2018 with much happiness lots of family, love and success and may you find peace of mind and heart. This is a gift from God not of the world and can only be gained through a personal relationship with God through His son Yeshua (Jesus).

I want to thank everyone who has paid attention to my music. Today I uploaded a song already on my song list and I have done that many times for which I would like to apologize for all the repeats. Here's whats happening... I just suck at engineering and I know it. But I also think my music has something to offer so for those who persevere it is getting better. I am in the process of remastering songs from several 1/2" tape reel to reel onto digital. It takes a long time and my old reels are beginning to deteriorate so I am going slowly on that. Soon I will have new songs for all to hear and some old ones but they wont sound empty and distorted like the songs currently on this site. originally to get started I transferred songs from old cassettes that were wrinkled tape and very old. I hope you understand it's a process. I have bought new gear and I am ready to record new material which I already have but I need to finish this last restoration and the fidelity will sound amazing please re listen to Marilou (I am no engineer but I am trying) Check out the difference of the new Marilou remastered I know you will like it all over again. Thank you for listening to Crystal Aire I know the passion we have for our music and how difficult it is getting ourselves heard by others. It's very gratifying when our music inspires others and when a connection is made and listeners respond. Discovering new talent meeting new people and listening to new ideas makes us strong and gets our music heard.

Friends I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has stopped and listened to any of my songs. Crystal Aire was a fantastic band formed in the late 70's that broke up by 1980. All have gone on to create their own projects and bands. Many of us have stayed in touch playing on each others projects. Please enjoy the 3 songs I posted 2 are live and one is a home made recording I created in my living room in 2014. I am still playing guitar and bass guitar. Southside surfer is an example of my guitar playing as I am playing all the instruments except for the drum machine. I have become a born again Christian since my early rock n' roll days and would like to encourage each of you to discover Gods plan for your lives through His son Jesus Christ. Jesus said you must be born again to see the kingdom of heaven. Also Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life no one can come to the father except by me." He meant just what he said no one can enter heaven unless they have a personal relationship with God through His son Jesus. Get your bibles and read the gospel of John. Remember we are living in the end times, the last days I believe that we are the generation that will see the return of Jesus. Governments cannot repair the damage that has been done to the world and the nations the world is changing preparing its way for the anti-Christ which will lead to the return of Christ. Crystal Aire is a story about perfect strangers becoming friends through music. To me it was the synchronicity of friendships made. Here were 5 guys living in a small town of about 70,000 people in the middle of the California dessert during the late 70's. It was one of those rare moments when everything seems to be controlled by destiny something big. It was a magical time of musical discovery pushing the bar to excel. Think of it... what are the odds that 5 unknown musicians (all just happen to be skilled players) find each other while living out in the 'boonies' of the high desert? It was a moment in time when everything intersected perfectly as Crystal Aire became one of the hottest Southern California rock bands in the region. The creative and musical bond was strong, it seemed like there wasn't anything we could not play or write. For 3 years we played hard practiced daily performed concerts, parties, gigs of any kind, any where including an abandoned house in the middle of the desert that was located off of a dirt road in the middle of no where. You know turn left at the rock then right at the large Joshua Cactus Tree. Renting generators to power our equipment we played for a few hundred drunken fans. Ah... those were the days... We enjoyed playing the hits of our day note for note songs from our favorite bands... like Kansas, Styx, Yes, Foreigner, Jeff Beck, Tull, Zeppelin, UK, Beatles and more. Encouraged by the acceptance of our fans we performed and wrote originals in the genre of our musical hero's. Crystal Aire was the definition of high energy progressive rock! We dominated local bands and rocked the High Desert, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. With nothing but our hearts fueling the flames of music... Sadly we went the way, of so many who had gone before us and disbanded. We are still friends and from time to time have played together on individual projects but never again as a band.

Crystal Aire consisted of 2 lead guitarist featuring Jimmy Willis/songwriter, lead vocalist and one of the best solo guitarist- ever. Rivaling the best of today and hails from Red Lands, CA. Mike Harty/songwriter energy driven blazing lead guitar, hails from Los Alamitos, CA. John Maher playing a Rickenbacker bass who easily blended and pounded the air waves with natural ability to improvise with solid and intricate playing hails from Ocean City, Maryland. John Bickham/songwriter one of the best keyboardist/soloist ever, along the lines of Jan Hammer and Rick Wakeman not to mention classical roots, hails from Apple Valley, CA. Finally Robby Gammel- Drummer extraordinaire and percussionist... truly gifted with amazing timing/skills works the high hat and kick like no other. The driving force of Crystal Aire he hails from Shreveport, La.
