Greetings To All My Fans!
Greetings Everyone!
This last month has been very exciting here in Central Arkansas. The new local coffee owners, Doug & Shelly Rideout are mind-melding with the entire community by offering great coffee, friendly & courteous service. And if that weren't enough they are conversing with all the local music artists to bring even more joy to our area by planning frequent musical get-togethers to spread lots of love and fellowship in downtown Clarksville.
The shows will consist of several local solo artists and bands that play a variety of music for our listening pleasure. Both Janice & I are very happy & anxious as I continue mixing & mastering songs that date back to 1971 to the present. Talk about bringing back sweet memories. Heck, I feel like a teenager stretching all the way back to our band's first live gig our Freshman year in high school in 1969.
It was a time of the pinnacle of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Motown, Southern Rockers, and numerous artists & bands that literally raised the roof off of pavilions, civic centers and outdoor festivals by their fans. And believe me, I went to as many as I possibly could & still do. It just doesn't get any better.
Dolan Sanderson, owner of our local music store, "The Joyful Noise Guitar Center" and I are talking about putting together affordable recording services to help our fellow musicians & songwriters. It's an opportunity to help one another bring joy to everyone who loves good music. I Salute You Dolan, Doug & Shelly.
With the COVID pandemic, we all strive to do the best we can to safeguard ourselves, our families, friends, and acquaintances. There always has been and always will be a special place in my heart when it comes to good company, good food, and people getting together to let their hair down and have some fun.
Over the years I have written many songs about just about every feeling & emotion you can think of, i.e., life, love, crying, laughing, hurting, boundless joy, and feeling blue. Songs about falling deeply in love, having children, loss of friends & family, the heartache of losing someone who lost their joy, and was compelled to walk away.
Songs are one of the most revered pleasures in life. Those of us who strive to hone that craft receive a spiritual reward that is sometimes very hard for people to fully comprehend. I have always felt that that writing music is a form of channeling and I personally consider it a gift of such great passion.
When a singer/songwriter is inspired to write a song that allows them to tap into something that permeates their very being, you know you are receiving a gift that is immeasurable. Especially when it's a universal feeling of emotion that validates the value of life. Even if you don't understand a song written in a language you don't understand. The melody can capture your heart and give true meaning to this precious thing we call life.
I want to share my deep appreciation and gratefulness for every single person who finds peace, joy, and a release from burdens that we all sometimes have to endure.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you one & all for the immense love you fill my heart with. I humbly say thank you for all the wonderful & amazing years of love & support you have all given to me. I Salute You All.
Yours Respectfully & Gratefully,
Millard Randolph Curry
