I have some very exciting news for all of my subscribes! I just got my EP from disc makers in the mail and will be releasing it on December 5, 2015. This cd includes five original songs written and recorded in New Orleans with fellow musicians Jeremy Joyce , Sneaky Pete, and James Clark . we recored most of the summer and now are finally in the last stages of my production. These songs are completely different from what I have posted in the past on NumberOne Music, I have included some influences from R&B, old school Rock and Roll, and of course some Reggae. The Ep is called "So Damn True" and if you purchase one it will come with a custom made bandana by me. You can wear it around your neck, wrist, boot, hair, and also use as a hanky. I am going to post ya'll a link at the bottom of the page for a preveiw of my EP. It will cost 10 dollars if you would like it shipped to your mailing address. Also will be sending an update with the link to purchase.

Good Vibes are happening and I have been in the studio for the past month recording some new songs for all you out there that are tuning in. The songs are going to be a bit different from recent releases but it is still down to earth and full of rhythm! The Ep will be out in September with some shows to follow in the one and only New Orleans

It is because of you that I am still inspired to write and sing songs. Without all the love I would of never made it to this website. Just wanted to say that I hope everyone is living the way they want and doing what they absolutely love to do and are having an existence based on what is true and wise. This is why I started writing songs and performing because I wanted to connect to people .
Also I will be performing in New Orleans on May 13th at the Hi Ho Lounge. Any request to maybe set up a live feed for fans to upload and watch ?? let me know your ideas it always helps.

Just wanted to make a shout out for a show that I will be having in New Orleans at the Hi Ho lounge on May 13th . The doors open at 9pm and there will be some other bands performing as well. If you are in town or nearby please come out and support some live music. This night of performances will fill your soul with love.. Thanks to all my people out there listening

Like her inspiration Loretta Lynn, she speaks directly about what it means to be a modern woman who has loved, lost, and persevered. Miss MEC tells it like it is: the gritty reality of her life, the day-in and day-out grind. When she performed with her previous band, Strange Roux, Offbeat magazine said:
“She sings like she’s seen it all, especially at night, and is still deciding, beat by beat, how much to tell.”
During her three years singing in Strange Roux, Miss MEC performed on renowned stages across New Orleans. The band opened for such varied acts as Papa Mali, Billy Iuso, Luke Winslow-King, and Dax Riggs, at venues like Tipitina’s and One Eyed Jacks. They also gigged regularly at dba on Frenchmen Street, and the House of Blues showcased them as part of a series called “Nola Rocks.” Shortly before she left to have her first child, Strange Roux headlined the 2014 Mirliton Festival.
From busking street singer, to Caribbean groover, to rock’n’roll frontwoman, she has taken different approaches, and has decided at last: Now is the time to showcase her originality. Less than a year after leaving her previous band, Miss MEC releases So Damn True December 5, 2015 at the United Bakery Gallery in New Orleans.
