Peggy Judy: Live At The M Bar

Song Reviews

maravillosa

Miss Peggy siempre maravillosa. Preciosa voz y unos músicos acompañantes fantásticos. Tiene que ser muy divertido escucharla en directo, cosa que me encantaría. Miss Peggy always wonderful. Beautiful voice and some fantastic accompanying musicians. It has to be very fun to hear it live, which I would love.

The lyrical content is strong and very well articulated. Very emphatic vocal delivery and presentation. Would have loved to hear an instrumental solo to take the load off the vocals but it was not needed as the melody and instrumentation offered strong support. Beautiful smooth and well crafted track as everything is very tasteful and smooth. Kudos to all who brought this project to fruition.

So.....

Sounds ok, kinda hard to understand the lyrics on certain parts and it doesn't have a feel good mood to it. Very out dated in my opinion. Needs more work but I'm sure you've been singing this style of music for a while so I'm not sure how hard it would be to get a different sound.

One of the things I enjoy about listening to songs on this "network" is the variety of artists and concepts for music to enjoy that we'll never hear on radio. We're relegated to catching a special engagement at some small club and hopefully you'll get 30 of your friends to show up to support your dream. That's what I hear on this song. The production have the vocals too high and needing different levels/post=production to blend in with the music more. The crowd interaction at the end is fun.

Nice. I was thinking that it's the kind of thing that works in a club setting, a bit lounge lizard-ish, which I like in that setting, not so much as a recording.... and then there was applause and the humorous chat at the end. Very cool.

Well where do I start? It's a different piece of work indeed. Miss Peggy has her work tagged as "Jazz" but I don't think I would call it Jazz. Perhaps "Pop" is more what I would call it, with a little humor thrown in. For a live recording, it is done well - nice and clear. Either way, it's a great job!

I applaud your rendition of the classic Neal Diamond, who else but you would think to do this....and I hear you all laughing in the background. I applaud your courage and comic delivery. You should have a show in Vegas!
