Hello n1M mmq peeps just wanted to let you know of a few NYC gigs coming up this weekend and next week that if you're in the area you may dig...i'll go in reverse order: Monday May 1st, i'm hosting the Vandojam at Zinc bar. The vandojam is an event sponsored by Vandoren, a wonderful company based in paris (and new york) who makes the best saxophone and clarinet mouthpieces and accessories on the market. I am a proud endorsee and have been for some time. The first monday of every month Vandoren hosts a jam session at the legendary zinc bar in greenwich village and a different vandoren artist hosts it. This coming monday, may 1st i'm honored to bring the mitch marcus quintet in to play the first set of our original music which will be followed by a jam session featuring some of the best musicians in the new york area. Come out and check it out if you're around. it's a bit late but worth it! 10pm till 2am Saturday April 28th - i'm playing with Joe Gallants Illuminati Orchestra at Club Bonafide on E. 52nd st The illuminati orchestra plays joes incredible arrangements of grateful dead tunes written for 18 piece big band.
