About Myrra Ros

Icelandic singer/songwriter Myrra Ros is one of the singer/songwriters in the Icelandic indie music Scene. Her music ranges from playful and carefree singalongs to an extremely intimate and se First picking up the guitar at age 20, Myrra Ros played her first concert for an audience of a pair of red parrots. Her crowds have been growing steadily ever since, eventually crossing species to the human race, filling up local cafes in Iceland and playing successful tours in Germany along with the International Troubadour Conspiracy.

She has played a leading role in the independent songwriter community for the past couple of years, hosting open mic nights, female artist festivals and tours featuring female artists playing concerts around Iceland.

Myrra has also been one of the leading players in establishing the Melodica Acoustic Festival, a free and voluntary international grassroot music festival, in Iceland. These projects have taken a lot of her time and energy in the past months, but now she has again put her focus on her artistic and professional growth, with increased touring and concerts.
