Giving up, giving in, giving out IS NOT an option. I don't care what it looks like right now, what "they" are saying or not saying, what "they" think, what any one else wants you to believe-if it contrary to what I am declaring to you at this very moment! Especially if you find yourself in a position you've neve been in before; your mind is racing, or you are at a peace and a pace that you have never encountered until now. Be encouraged, and be. That's all. My grandmother has always said "It's not just what you do, but how you do it." You're a writer? Write. Painter? Paint. Walker? Walk. Linguist, lyricist? Rhyme. Producer or composer? Arrange your notes and sounds and present your opus. That's it. Leave the lobbying for the talking heads who acquiesced to the notion of "those who can't do, teach." Forget the politics, the rumors, the gossip, the fancy pipe dreams, even a set destination. JUST CREATE. Let's get back to the basics. All the ego tripping, animosity, toxic comparison and competition and assault on our fellow man has not only become counterproductive, but cancerous. We simply do not enjoy what we once were organically passionate about, without a second thought, we were in the zone. In our elements, coalescing with them, formulating creations of every discipline in the arts. A record deal would be awesome right?! How about a 360-deal, where the artist literally is ALL-AROUND f***ked out of his/her very essence, touring for 2 months and never pocketing more than 20% of the beaucoup generated. *raspberry* Screw that! Nevermind a deal, or the lights or the fame or the attention. Do what the hell you do, and only the way that only you can! With that being said, Here is a new jont to perk your ears up.
