Viktorija Smailyte
VIKTORIJA SMAILYTĖ (harpist, Lithuania) in 2010 got master degree of harp and chamber music at Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. She also studied in Italy (Udine, 2007) with Prof. Patrizia Tassini and in Norway (Oslo, 2009) with Prof. Willy Postma. Viktorija attended various masterclasses in Vilnius, Riga, Amsterdam, London, Oslo. She participated in the festivals and played chamber music concerts in Stockholm, Oslo, Belfort, played in 20 harp orchestra Ventaglio d'Arpe (Italy). She is a member of various chamber music ensembles. At present she plays in Kaunas City Symphony Orchestra, Kaunas Musical Theatre and teaches in a music school.

STEINAR YGGESETH (composer, Norway) in 2016 got Master in composition in Norwegian Academy of Music with the teachers Henrik Hellstenius, Asbjørn, Peter Tornquist, Olav Anton Thommessen and Bjørn Kruse. He held a number of workshops and concerts together with the Esbjerg Ensemble, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, the Norwegian Wind Ensemble and the Radio Orchestra. At present works in Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra.

About NB8 ART
NB8 ART - is contemporary music and visual arts ensemble. This project is a result of cultural collaboration between the Nordic and the Baltic countries. It is an audiovisual synthesis of music, print and video art based on the folklore, songs, tales, symbols, and culture heritage of the Nordic and the Baltic countries. It is based on the contemporary art discourse, the modern professional art language. NB8 (Nordic Baltic Eight) are eight Nordic and Baltic countries. The aim of the project is to promote the cultural activities among the Nordic and the Baltic countries.
Professional classical and contemporary music performers (harp player, pianist, electric guitar player, violin player, percussionist, opera singer), composers and well known visual artists from Sweden, Norway, Lithuania and Estonia come together to create a unique performance. NB8 ART compositions are original pieces.

Most of the participants met in New Music Incubator Nida in Lithuania in 2014 and together participated in the contemporary music festival ULTIMA in Oslo (Norway).
The project NB8 ART started in 2015 in Rietavas (Lithuania) during a workshop. A concert CONNECTION with live streaming of video projections mix with printing process by unique technique was created.
In 2016 the concert was presented in Lithuania Etnocosmology museum (Moletai, Lithuania) and in the fetival VILNIUS CULTURE NIGHT (Vilnius, Lithuania). In 2017 the group made music recording session in Stockholm (Sweden) and made concerts at the KAPELLET studio and in the theater LEDERMAN. Same year the ensemble made concert tour in Gotland (Sweden).
