Song Reviews
A wonderful psychedelia!!!
Welcome back to 1967! This is an incredible psychologic song that takes you back to 1967 where it all started. The British Invasion. And it really reminds you to the unrated but recurrently played live “In My Own Time” by the Bee Gees. “Layla” is such a wonderful track you wanna play over and over again, shake your head and make a party right away. Very well achieved and performed by Nello Villa! Bravo!!!

Excellent Guitar
The drum is done very well with the electric guitar. The timing is excellent. I had a hard time hearing except the guitar, which is fabulous. I think technically the vocal could be clearer and louder. If I could hear the lyrics better I could connect with the song more. The composition is good. I would record it again and try and find a way to get the vocal done in a better surrounding so it's not faded in the background. Very nice beat.

sound d'eccezione
ciao Nello, ho ascoltato con piacere la tua performance... il pezzo si paga da solo... purtroppo la registrazione della voce è un pò confusa e offusca la tua arte e le tue doti... ciao dalla Toscana..

very nice rock n roll
very nice and very interesting, very cheerful and nice. delivers a positive vibe and a very interesting performance. I like the sound of the guitar, very professional play on the guitar. this song is very 80's music when the music was the best. very interesting. great job.

Perfect cover combining Leyla with Strange Brew
Is this Eric Clapton playing guitar? I am not sure. Ok, joke. Perfect guitar cover. Too much effects on the vocals. They sound far away. Ok, he says, it is a live recording. It's a variation of musical fan art. Taking the music from Strange Brew and singing Leyla. Thumbs up.

Good Rocking Dance Track. Strong Band, (You Rock). The Vocals are Strong. The Overall Production Is Good at Best, But Something About It Makes It Linger In One's Mind, Even When It's Over. I Liked It & Had To Listen Again, & Again. You Have Houston Overtones, (Like Bobby Blue Bland)....I Was Forced To Give You .4of a point Extra.....Good Job.

In MY Opinion
Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning another's creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound quality of the recording over-all is very crisp and bright and clear, I really enjoy this song. Vocals are smooth, but, buried in a reverb process till it was extreme hard to understand what was being said. Please, back the process off the vocal some. The mix levels let me know who was still in charge of this song. Very easy to sit back and listen to. Was this a band or sound track? I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

Pure live recording!
Ambitious cover song of "Strange Brew". The song sounds really like old recordings of the sixties. It isn´t perfect, but that gives the music magical moments. The pitch range of the vocals varies constantly. The accompaining rock-guitar solos are an extra factor and bring more interest into the song. The drummer pushing the music on the point. This vivid recording sounds like a contribution to the awesome rock band Cream.

Strange Brew cover by Nello Villa
Strange Brew cover by Nello Villa Ok so on your arrival into Aeroporto di Genova-Sestri Ponente after getting your baggage you find yourself walking into the underground parking garage and hear the Cream song strange brew but the singing is in Italian! Then you realise it's live Nello Vila from the parking garage!

STRANGE SONG
Firstly too much effects on the mics but otherwise sounds just like Clapton and Cream original. nice short version, was this recorded live! ?? If you play the same genre of music all the time you would be labelled. was this recorded c/w midi files or real musos. If real musos then this was very good copy. PC

Nello Villa Layla
This song originally from Cream and Eric Clapton. Sing in Italian by Nello Villa. The guitar is exactky the same as in the original version. Great work of this Italian Musicien that shows the impact of English music throughout Europe. Best for U.

It's all in the mix...
Musically this track opens with all the power of the original and has all the feel of the inspirational Cream’s 1967 original. The vocals kick in and sit in the track well, but feel a little buried in the mix. It’s an interesting take on the song, especially when introducing Clapton’s seminal ‘Layla’ to the mix. But therein lies the slight problem - the vocal lacks a little passion and feels somewhat hesitant. Nothing that a clearer mix couldn’t improve. If the vocal was lifted a little higher in the overall mix and some brightness added, then the track would succeed in a far better way. This is a great idea. The language certainly lends itself to this treatment. I’d give this a four overall and will be listening to more from this artist.

Hi
IOs Never a good Idea to do cover song..see You are in Competition with an Original.. and sorry to say.. but You will always going loose that battle. instrumental part is ok but The Total Package is not on that level.. on the other note ..what You will do with this..just asking.. has been published already.. and trust me No Radio Station with Licence will play this because You do not ask a Publisher for permission to record It.. so Good luck ..but try to be careful...

Hi
I have a Problem ..are You using Your own Arrangement or is from music track..something tells me that You just add a Vocal to that track..so let me tell You that Background Music is Way Better then Vocal..so I gave You just 2.5 star because Singer Make The Song.. not a Band..and with recording like that I do not think Record Company will be impress.all I will say that is always better to come up with an Original Material..becouse Everybody will copare You to The OriginalMateria.. I wish You good luck..

Viva Villa
One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song we get a great blues-style rock jam. Vocally, it sounds like the singer is performing in a bathroom echo chamer. His vocals are fine, but nearly impossible to make out or hear. Otherwise, a fine effort.

Commistione di generi
L'impostazione di questa canzone è un rock anni '80, quasi pesante, ma con venature elettroniche e blues. E' curioso il modo di cantare, quasi nascosto, mentre il suono è pulito e buono. Un pezzo interessante.

Hi
Well.. I listen this song 2 times..and I will say It is a Nice Song with good arrangement but The Vocal part need to be Much Better.. after all.. The Lead Vocal Make The Song so try to rerecord It.. as It is now I do not think It will be pick Up by Music Publishers or put on Radio Rotation..hey send It out but I got a feeling that They will agree with me...so is better to make much better recording before submissions..I wish You good luck..
