The day after my birthday I recorded a song for a challenge by the artist Logic. I really like what I did with this one. You can hear the song at https://hitrecord.org/records/3610378. While doing research into J. Cole for class, I came across something that made me think. He talked about how he wanted to impress people with his music so bad, but once he was signed, it didn’t make him happy to have fame and fortune. This made him go back to the things in life that made him happy and make music that fit his personality rather than try to make it in a way that people liked it. He still had his own style, but the aim when creating it was to impress people. This made me think about my music. While I do have my own style, I have been concerned with if my music will impress others or not. I took the time to start writing without being concerned with if it “sounds good” or not and I like what I have been doing. I started my patreon page back up.
