Nicole Eitner And The Citizens

Nicole Eitner is a Portuguese/German singer, songwriter and pianist. Together with musicians Alexandre Frazão (drums) and Miguel Menezes (double-bass and vocals) and João Gomes (synthesizers) they formed the group Nicole Eitner and The Citizens.

In 2009 Nicole shared the stage with Suzanne Vega in Sintra and participated in the Texas SXSW Festival where she won 1st prize, a chance to record at the Elvis Presley’s emblematic Sun Studios in Memphis.
In 2011, already with The Citizens, Nicole edits her second album ‘I Am You’ and performs as support act of Joan As Police Woman’s tour in Portugal. In that same year, Nicole won the Midem Off Showcase Competition (voted by fans) and played in Cannes/ France. The music ‘Witness of Your Life’ won the International SongDoor Songwriting Competition (USA) prize in the ‘Pop Songs’ category and the position of semi-finalist in the 2012 UK Songwriting Contest.

‘Fade to Shade’ is Nicole Eitner and The Citizens 3rd album and reflects an aesthetical evolution which transports us to and ambient filled with romance and mystery, restlessness and clarity, like nuances in a black and white film.
