I am not a booking agent but have worked all over the world basically doing contractual agreements for my self. YOU TOO can do that if you want and save the 20% of the pay as many agencies require they get paid before you do and the contract is often based on all your prior work performing documented. Union Agents legit ones require a license in the State of their office so you will know plus a place to find them is to talk with an act already booked in a venue WHO is their agent. IF you are equal to that act with as much experience they will gladly book you. Also no having the credits verifiable very few will get you a booking since there is no security on their work doing that as trying to sell as new food no one has tasted. Isn't easy.
