As a NARAS professional voting member I'm responsible to listen to all kinds of music and cast my vote for the merit of the production and not the popularity of sales (marketing) or popularity of the artist (marketing) or anything but the recording since GRAMMYs are for the music recording business. Many new artists think that awards are for the best one but there are millions of awards on tv and online as there are radio stations online too.
