About no-ne
no-ne is Hervé Rico's solo project.
Based in Marseille (France), where he works as a sound engineer, this is his third musical adventure since the late 80s.
It all started with Anyway, a pop rock group of high school friends. Anyway's story ended up in 1996.
A new project, Pupille, saw the light of day in 1997.
An album, 'L' Ambiguïté', was recorded by Hervé, mixed by Jon Cotton (Scott Matthews, Carina Round) and mastered by Denis Blackham (The Stranglers, OMD, Ride, Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode). A CD was released in 2003 and its 14 songs became available on streaming platforms only in 2022.
Hervé took a break from Pupille, touring and doing sound design for theatre with actor Jacques Gamblin and actress Juliette Binoche.
He decided to start a new solo project under the name of no-ne.
The EP 'I try this for the first time' was released in 2016. Until now it had been removed from streaming platforms.
no-ne's new album recording sessions started in 2019. Hervé received advice from producers Dave Allen (The Cure, The Chameleons, The Psychedelic Furs) and Steve Albini (Pixies, PJ Harvey, Nirvana).
'Daisyland' was completed in 2022. The following year, Hervé decided to propose the album to the music industry.
no-ne signed with ShuSha records (Inouïe Distribution) in France and with Epictronic for the rest of the world.
The album will be released physically and on streaming platforms on 22 March 2024. There will be two different pressings for the CD.
