The Haunting
Difficult to say what it is.Idea is oryginal but mix itself doesn't let to judge the song.I like vocal.I can hear vocal and i understand words. But rest of instruments are not clear and whole song is the same pattern. That needs to be remixed. At this stage not to many things i can say.

Are you serious?
As a professional musician of over 40 years, and also a DJ on an internet radio station, I have to say this is one of the worst attempts at song writing and recording I've ever heard. The guitar sounds like it's out of tune, the vocals are horrible, and there's absolutely no structure to the song at all. The quality of the recording sounds as though it was recorded in a cave using a boom box to record with. We have hundreds of independent artists sending us their music for airplay consideration every day, and most have spent money on either studio time, or home recording gear, and the results are as good as anything released by a major record label. I'm not trying to be mean, just telling it like it is from what I hear. You asked for a review, and an opinion, so I gave you one. Perhaps someone else may hear something different.

Cello meets alternative
This is something special. Yes, we know apocalyptica and we also know a lot of alternative rock, but this band put these two things togehther. Genre of the music: Hard Rock, Metal? No, sir. definetly not, but worth to listen to.

Cool
This is really dope! Put ME in state of mind as if I'm watching the movie crow. Personally one of my fav movies ever made. It has a really edgy sound. Not a sound to moody. I would definitely listen to something like this while working out. Or getting ME prepared for a work day. It's always good to have some music to get your juices flowing. I really appreciate the slow intro also. Kinda builds suspense. Keep it up.

Great!
Really nice song with a great concept of lyrics and strong message! These guys are pretty good and the music too, it's very well played, composed and produced! Well done boys! We are really curious of how far you guys are going to go and if you are going to play at Newcastle Upon Tyne at some point give us a shout and we might play together! Check us at facebook: October Ends. Peace!

Not my cup of Tea, sorry :(
Very repetitive, doesn't go anywhere. This is my opinion only. I wish them the best of luck. I really don't think we need to write at least 150 characters in this section. See, it still wants more charactres.

Boogie with the Bogey
Great orchestral scores in this piece of work, all fits so snug yet seems to wayward your mind into the allusive lure to keep you listening. I started to listen to it again just to see if I missed anything, and yet I heard more. Very talented composing, with strong melodic nurturing that blends you mind into the symphony of notes, instruments, vocals and sounds that fill every nook and cranny of your mind. A specter-piece of music!

this scars me
this track has great ideas and potential but how it is right now I wouldn't have released to the public yet. All in all the production is rough draft demo material. I can see the vision of were this song is going but it needs major work.

Cool Song, Recording Needs Help...
Time for another review and today we will be looking at NOO5E 's "The Haunting" The song starts out interestingly enough, we have the classic intro, vocals over some strings and a lone guitar, sounds like a cello and some viola's or vice versa but regardless I love when musicians get adventuresome and add cool elements to their song. Just from the intro, I get a Nirvana like feeling from the track, which again is pretty cool. When the song kicks in it goes a little sideways and is pretty hard to classify...The strings continue on albeit adding a menacing and foreboding feeling to the track. They're pretty dissonant comparably to the guitar and bass. Overall the song is definitely unique but there are some issues and they have nothing to do with the composition itself. As I have encountered several times in doing review here on N1M there seems to be a little bit of a disconnect between songwriting and recording. To be honest I like weird and "out there" music but it has to be presented in way that sounds good and I feel that NOO5E have missed the mark a little bit here. The guitar and bass are really low in the mix to the point where it's really hard to hear what they are adding to the music, same thing with the drums, both sets of instruments take a backseat to the strings which can throw the listener off because of the imbalance. There is clearly audible sound distortion and I don't mean distortion on the guitar, I mean when you are recording things too hot or your levels are too high in the final mix. This robs the instruments of any kind of tone and strips them of their power. I hate giving bad news to good people but these types of recording mistakes really hamper the listeners enjoyment of hearing the music. The other issue I have is with the repetitiveness of the track. I was really hoping that they would break up the original riff with a few other riffs that would keep the listener engaged throughout the song, unfortunately they do not so you get approximately 6 minutes of the same thing which isn't always the best idea. With the recording issues and the monotony of the same riff being played over and over again I'm not sure this has the desired effect that the band would hope. I can hear that they trying to differentiate their sound and try new things but that ends being a secondary consideration when you take into account some of the problems with the finished product. It's my opinion that NOO5E could be really cool and interesting as a band but they need to bring their A-Game in terms of recording if they want to engage people on a deeper level. Pretty cool track guys but the recording needs to be better, I hope this constructive criticism will help you identify areas where you can improve so that people will be able to enjoy the music more thoroughly. Your Song "The Haunting"
I like the sort of creepiness intro with the string section and gives off a touch of punk attitude with an orchestra backbone which is kind of unique. The vocals tell a eerie story while the rest of the band flows right in sync with the darkness tale and the violin takes place of the lead guitar. I can say this is not only original but in very good taste to add to The Haunting.

NOO5E
The guitars in the beginning are very catchy, kinda like riding a wave...the vocals seem to be ok...It has a very somber,mood...the minor notes in the song work for this paticular arrangement...there needs to be a little more power to the song...and some changeups..more riffs..other than that sounded good!!
