Not Easily Broken Sisters (NEBS) have been in the Gospel Music Industry for years and still going strong. With strong ties and skills deeply rooted in Gospel music the four staunch women of God ministers to the masses with their fluid beautiful vocal gifts. The 3 initial NEBS songbirds were; Carissa, Lawanda, and Tamissa. The ladies began their fruitful singing career with their father and sister in a group called Faithful (Wiggins Girls). Jasmine joined the group later when she came of age, making them 4. They all participated on the youth praise team and choir ministries at church.
After a decade of praise and worship ministry the NEBS group emerged in March 2013. The name is derived from them surviving a devastating life experience. They were persecuted but not forsaken and the temporary challenge only made them stronger. The ladies ministered through song; at an array of events On September 6, 2013 they performed at Clarksville’s Annual Riverfest sharing the First Baptist stage with the group Sidewalk Prophets.
On January 16, 2014, they sang at the Pre-Stellar Award Show hosted by Radio Personality, Damon King. and Lemmie Battles. NEBS captured and harnessed more Gospel Music greatness throughout Tennessee and beyond. After a stint in Georgia ministering, the group received notice that they had been nominated 3 times for the April, 2014 Nashville based GMC Awards. The 3 categories were; New Artist of the Year, Group of the Year, and Choir of the Year.
The legendary Gospel Artist Lashaun Pace performed at this event. Later that month NEBS sang at the Clarksville, TN. Later that year in September the group performed on the first Baptist stage of Clarksville’s Riverfest. This time sharing the stage with the JJ Weeks Band. October 2014 led them to the Clarksville’s TN. Annual Stompfest.
By November 2014, the endless hours of blood, sweat, and tears finally paid off for NEBS when their first single “Help” debuted on November 14, 2014. This debut opened the door to a radio interview with Lady Treva Gordon and some much-deserved airplay. On December 11, 2014, the ladies expressed their gratitude to Ms. Gordon by performing their music at the opening of her Leading Ladies Woman’s Conference. Shortly afterwards, they were blessed to be on the live recording show of “Just Believe” in Nashville TN.
February 2015 proved to be a month of even more unique blessings as NEBS discovered that they had been nominated once again in the category of; “Group of the Year” at the GMC A wards hosted in Nashville TN. stage with many others.
During that summer, they served in several community and church events. This included but wasn’t limited to; Back to the Basic Concerts and often on the same platform with other legendary groups. Like the Clarksville Voices and Clarksville Soul Stirrers. The group won’t ever forget where the foundation of Gospel music lead them and they remain honored and pleased to have been a part of it all.
Moving ahead with their powerful voices, NEBS ended the summer with more successful events. They opened the stage for another popular and strong voice artist: Iva Foster – Pace. NEBS traveled to “the ATL” (Atlanta GA.) to be part of an event with an industry colleague, DeLarryo Dunklin. God continued to move in their lives and he opened yet, for them to launch another door first woman program called “Behind the Brokenness.” NEB could share their own testimonies. To openly share how they arrived at that season with other anointed women of God. NEBS had the opportunity to appear at the Clarksville, TN. Riverfest for a second year.
They were nominated for the Leaf Chronicle Reader newspaper as the Choice for favorite local artist. They appeared on the same platform as Sean Simmonds, In the month of October 2015 their second single. “You are my life” launched out and first aired on The Spirit with Treva Gordon. NEBS took advantage of the opportunity to do a charity event which raised money for children via the Clarksville police department. The ladies participated in a kickoff, fresh starter for Kick Off Sunday, where they co ministered with other artist such as; Mr. Del and 1KPHEW, Future Kid.
The engagements continue for the sought-after NEBS with other possibilities and confirmations, like the Tallied Rogers Easter program. Serenity House Benefit Concert and being nominated once again for Reader’s Choice favorite performer in March 2016.
Gods favor kept placing upon them and the gigs and assignments kept coming. NEB was invited to the Treva and Kevin Show (Treva Gordon) to talk about their program and share their greatness with the audience at large. “Behind the Brokenness” a cause they have an annual program to bring light to brokenness; they could shed some light about the many lives that were encouraged through the event. The show was successfully aired on WUXP My TV 30. In June 2016, they opened for Artist Tran Gilbert. Moving forward, they ministered at another worship conference. In October, 2016 NEBS went on to minister at the “Urban fest” a known community event in Clarksville, TN.
October, 2016 was another blessed month as NEBS released their single,” Depend on God.” This music debut at a pre-GMA DOVE Awards event. 10 Not Easily Broken were honored to be a part of the pre-dove event at BB King Club in Nashville, TN. They shared platforms with great artists such as Jonathan MC Reynolds, Travis Green, Jermaine Dolly, Todd Dadney, Jasmine Williams and many more. Vincent Thorpe was hosted the platform event. NEBS enjoyed an honored and music industry treat as they attended the 47th Annual GMA DOVE Awards Show in support of another Gospel artist.
Honored to meet some of their favorites their freshman CD hits November and it officially comes out in November and the listening party is in December, 2016. Preorders will be available November 19, 2016. Now they are preparing to go to the stellar awards where they have been given the opportunity to minister at pre-stellar event in Las Vegas March 2017. They are looking forward to more opportunities to make “JESUS FAMOUS”. They are ready to press forward despite adversity and continue to minister to the lost, broken, saved and unsaved.
