About Noumoucounda Cissoko
Biography
Kora player, percussionist and lead vocal, Noumoucounda Cissoko is a perfectionist artist, committed and with a sense of improvisation and the extraordinary adaptation.
International tours of this great artist allowed him to participate in several art events along with other world-renowned artists such as Youssou Ndour, Ky Many Marley (son of Bob Marley), Ira Colman (bassist Herbie Hancock) Ernest Ranglin, Alpha Blondy, Omar Pene, Red Rats, Princess Erika, MC Solaar and Stromae (album 2013).
Graduated from the Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Art in Dakar, following four years of study kora and dance. His mastery of rhythm and melody make this one of the most gifted musicians of his generation.
Rich in various musical experiences Noumoucounda Cissoko began a solo career which resulted in her first international album recorded in Geneva during the summer of 2009 and released in 2012. This album is the result of collaboration with the Swiss group "Phat4."
