About ✨ Nudge~Fate ✨
Singer, lyricist, writer, dreamer and above all, a mother to teenage twin boys Who are the biggest love I've ever had. Aside from family music is my next biggest love. My parents were in a band together when I was little, so I was surrounded by music and many musicians starting at a really young age. My parents music taste was eclectic as mine is even more so now. I can't even begin to name all the bands I like, so I'll leave that up to a personal conversation. If you have questions please ask. ;)
Unfortunately I don't play guitar (yet), but I can play tambourine and any kind of freeform percussion including Congo/bongo drums, but not really a full drum set properly...however, I have been told I have great Rhythm.;)
One of my earliest memories are of my mother coming home very late/early from a show with blisters on her hands due to playing the tambourine so much, the smell of alcohol, cigarettes, French perfume and her thick smeared stage make up and lipstick, melted by the heat of the stage lights. (If you've never performed on a stage you would be amazed at how hot it gets up there!) She wore a curly wig and a tiara like the queen of England, and I thought she was so beautiful and amazing for singing/performing/dressing up the way she did. I had seen them Play and practice many times and loved the whole scene! I wanted to be a performer ever since then. When I was six I was on one of my parents album covers, I also featured in one of my parents songs' back up singing along with the other children of the bandmembers. They did a charity ball for homeless kids and they used my hand writing for the tickets… I remember so clearly being up late at the kitchen table with my dad doing that, it was New Years 1980-81. Despite wanting to be a singer and performer, I never was and still am not deluded into thinking I will be a famous star someday though... all I really want to do is honestly just make, perform, and record music as much as possible. And of course to share that with as many people as possible in the hopes they enjoy it.
To date I have been in three bands, performed at a huge desert party and various bars in California, (orange county, San Diego and LA) I have jammed with lots of people but The one who stands out the most is #RAS1 from the #Long Beach Dub all Stars, and #Long Beach Short Bus, the #SUBLIME follow up bands, way back before they were famous, I lived right down the street from him when I was 17, in the early 90's. His style surprised and inspired me. I met many cool other musicians there in his garage too, and attended one of SUBLIME's first performances in a backyard birthday kegger party in Long Beach, CA, where I spent a big part of my teens and went to high school. I was in a band and did my first recordings in 2000 and 2001. In 2002 I had my twins and being a mother has kept me busy ever since then. (!!!) no one is kidding when they say it's a full-time job! They are now 18 and becoming more independent, which in turn is giving me more freedom to pursue my music again. They also now play guitar really well and some piano and are currently in a band of their own. The apple does not fall far from the tree haha. But for all the years I didn't perform, I sang to them, in the shower, at weddings, to friends, and in many public places and many bathrooms, the acoustics are good in there. LOL. I never stopped singing and writing. It's one of my biggest passions and dreams. In 2006 we lived in Las Vegas and I got chosen off #myspace to to be interviewed and have my music played on a local Internet radio station, #(expired link). I created a demo and tried really hard to connect with musicians and did a big photo shoot in preparation for an album. Nothing came of it at that time. But it was a really fun experience. In 2014 #StonerAsylumRadio on (expired link) started playing my songs on a regular basis by #(expired link) (DJ). @stonerasylum on Twitter. He hasn't done many lately, but there are some podcasts you can listen to on (expired link). (#MedicatedMadness show.)
A couple months ago a DJ from (expired link) found me on my space and asked if they could play my music and to join the website. You can find songs and updates here, I have many new songs in the works and a YouTube channel coming up. I am hoping to promote my music and seek musicians to work with. Thanks to technology, it doesn't matter where they are as I can collaborate with any musicians via appropriate technological channels. I don't know that much about programs for recording etc. hopefully the right person can direct me also on that. "Goodbye", "Don't Worry", "How I See Ya" and "A little Space" & "Love Letters"-(feat Olly Taylor) are all original content. Thank you for subscribing/listening and hopefully helping my dream come true. All the best to you and yours. I hope you enjoyed the music! I am now on SoundCloud (will post details) & soon to be on Bandcamp. My YouTube channel is called Nudge Fate, but doesn’t have music on it yet. Please stay tuned though as many new songs are on their way! Much love ❤️ ✨Nudge Fate✨Aka Butterfly xxx
