Oldenburg roots rock incorporates aboriginal instruments and rhythms from Latin America into his pop-rock influenced songs. Oldenburg takes a new approach on the Alternative genre by adding a Venezuelan twist to the sounds of rock & roll. Native from the city of Caracas, Oldenburg incorporates aboriginal instruments and rhythms from Latin America into his pop-rock influenced songs.

His "Venezuelan Roots Rock" is a well balanced mix of overdriven electric guitars with the sounds of native instruments like the four stringed guitar called "Cuatro", or the sea shell horns named "Guaruras". Oldenburg lyrics reflect the reality of immigration and social issues within an unique framework of his trademark nature related metaphors and conservationist themes.

New York based, Oldenburg started as a band in 2003 and shaped its signature sound in hands of former King Chango (Luaka Bop, Warner) guitar player Miguel Oldenburg and drummer Luis “el pulpo” Ruiz, guitar extraordinaire Inti Maldonado and bassist Andres Jimenez.
