Chip Miller, lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist for Old Sand Mill, has produced a new single featuring Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles; Al Jardine of The Beach Boys; and the late Bob Shane, founder of The Kingston Trio, the 2nd best selling artist in Capitol Records history, above Frank Sinatra and The Beach Boys, and only under The Beatles! The track is called "Scarlett Ribbons" and can be heard and purchased exclusively on Bandcamp!

This currently successful band has many thousands of fans from all over the world, thanks to their strong online presence. Their debut album, "The World Is Getting Colder" was critically hailed by music critics and listeners alike. An all-star production, Old Sand Mill was joined by Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys); Jerry Douglas (Alison Krauss & Union Station, Earls of Leicester); Gabriel Witcher (Punch Brothers); Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones); r&b legend, Deniece Williams; Earl Mankey (Concrete Blonde); Rick Boston (Low Pop Suicide); and Paul Simon. As folk singers, the band's formerly was known as Reynolds and Miller, and opened as well as toured with Simon, who was set to produce their first album, when the duo split up because one became a Scientologist and clashed with everyone in the studio. When Michael Reynolds of Scotland, and Irish American, Chip Miller, from New Jersey, split up, Miller vaulted their two dozen songs - all gems. After Miller moved to Hollywood to become a known film director and writer, as well as an award-winning music video and live TV concert. In the mid-2000's, Miller revisited the material, rewrote and rebooted some of the more timeless songs, and was inspired to start writing songs again. In 2018, Miller and his celebrity line-up created "The World Is Getting Colder" - filled with folk, rock, country, and a few psychedelic epics. Miller reincarnated the band's name as OLD SAND MILL - derived from the original reynOLDS AND MILLer group name. In 2022, the band released their second album, "The Example" to strong reviews and fan reactions to a more Celtic alt rock sound. The band's music has been licensed for radio, TV, and two upcoming 2022 movies. Miller and his band mates live between the desert and Burbank.

Old Sand Mill's album, "The World Is Getting Colder" was nominated for a Grammy Award for its unique album cover art package. The art was created by singer/songwriter, Chip Miller, and guitarist Janaki Jennings.

An original new song, "The Example" - the title track from Old Sand Mill's 2022 album, will be featured in an upcoming motion picture starring Liam Neeson, currently called, "The Great Silence." The film from Desert (expired link). Studios in Hollywood, is being directed by filmmaker Chip Miller from a script he co-wrote with Neeson. Filming begins on location in Ireland in September 2022. The song can be heard on the band's new album, "The Example" - their 4th - now available on all major music streaming platforms. The band will also make an appearance in the movie performing unplugged in a pub scene to be shot in Dublin. Old Sand Mill Scores New Suspense Feature Film!

Old Sand Mill's singer/songwriter, Chip Miller has composed the theme song for an upcoming Kevin Sorbo movie, "Paths," to also star Gary Sinese, Eric Stoltz, Emma Watson, country star, Lisa Brokop, Jason Crabb, Dean Cain, Rebecca Holden, Sally Kirkland, and Meg Ryan. Miller also co-wrote the original screenplay and will direct. The film is a Desert (expired link). Studios production and commences shooting in November in Southern California. The film's soundtrack will be released through Curb Records.

After the surreal Orwellian year of 2020, between a pandemic, music industry shutdown, the political nightmare in America (still ongoing), Old Sand Mill is proud to announce several exciting projects for the oncoming new year! Our new album, "The Example" will be released on CD and on all major streaming platforms on March 20! We have one of our songs that has been licensed for a major motion picture, "The Marriage Zone" coming out in June; two other original new songs for a live action drama series, "Zhohi Shoon-Kah" on Amazon Prime premiering this Summer; and Old Sand Mill lead singer/songwriter Chip Miller, wrote a song for the indie movie "Paths" with Kevin Sorbo and Rebecca Holden. The band will shoot a music video for the first single, "Angel Killer" from their new album, in April, to be directed by Miller, who is also an award-winning music video director with over a 100 major artists' clips to his credit. Currently there are no touring plans through mid-year, but the band will soon announce their first Zoom performance along with some of their very special friends. A new Netflix series, "The Marriage Zone," a drama comedy set in the near future where the sun is always out 24/7. The theme song was composed and written by singer/songwriter, Chip Miller, and recorded by OLD SAND MILL. Multiple GRAMMY-award-winning r&b legend, Deneice Williams, does a cameo bg vocal; GRAMMY-winner Jerry Douglas is on lead slide guitar and dobro; Darryl Jones of The Rolling Stones is on bass; Chip Miller on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica, icon Paul Simon is on rhythm guitar, and Gabe Witcher of The Punch Brothers is on violin. Our guitar player on numerous tracks of our debut album, has died. He was far too young. David Maynard also was a member of the NY punk group, The Weasels.
