About O Louco
It all starts in 2001, when Igor Freitas decides to follow music. He began studying Singing, Piano and Musical Training at a Regional Conservatory and in 2002 decided to go further and study Music Production.
On 2003 he formed the group Terra D'Alma, practicing classical music and traditional portuguese music. That same year, he created his alter ego "IGOR", which allows him to release the madman in himself.
In 2008 he edited his first album "Circo dos Horrores"(Circus of Horrors) and started the Tour in 2009. The opportunity arises to participate in the first edition of the Alternative Song Festival, where he acts alongside projects such as "Homens da Luta" and "La Chanson Noire". With its own name brings the controversial song "Ditadura Militar" to be heard by some reputable names, such as Tozé Brito, Eládio Clímaco and Helena Coelho. Throughout the "Circo dos Horrores" Tour, IGOR shares the stage with bands such as "Bizarra Locomotiva", "La Chanson Noire", "Dr. Salazar", "Dr. Zilch", among others.
On November 2013, the second album "Uma Casa de Bonecas"(A dollshouse) was released, thus starting the Tour of the same in auditoriums, and ending up doing special concerts in acoustic (without the theatrical aspect) in Fnac stores.
On 2014 Igor Freitas publishes his first book "A Verdade Perdida no silêncio" by Chiado Editora. However, he has been publishing poems and short stories over the years in several anthologies. On 2018 receives an honorable mention of the “Irene Lisboa contest” in Arruda dos Vinhos with the children's tale "A Lua que tinha medo do escuro” (The Moon that was afraid of the dark).
On 2016 is edited what would be his last album "Ao vivo (ou morto)” (Live (or dead)), changing the name from "IGOR" to "The Madman", parading this with his most personal project, keeping the name "IGOR". However, he released the single "O Beijo" as "IGOR", taking the distance between projects.
As you'd expect, "The Madman" isn't over. In 2023 he returns with a new look and musical concept, maintaining the irreverence (as we had already accustomed) and the madness on his album and single of the same name "Fama"(Fame) that transports us to a more POP and electronic sound.
