Strange Vocal Performance

"Rainmaker's Kiss" by Ophelia B. offers a unique and somewhat unusual vocal performance that sets it apart. The synth arrangement is solid and creates a moody atmosphere that draws the listener in. However, the mix leans too heavily on the treble, and incorporating more bass would provide a better balance. Additionally, there is too much reverb on the vocals, which detracts from the clarity. Overall, the song is well-made and leaves a lasting impression with its distinct style. The lyrics are poetic and deep, adding another layer of intrigue to the track. With some adjustments in the mixing, it has the potential to shine even brighter.

Refreshing sound

Good morning to you and thanks for the invite to review your track "RAINMAKER'S KISS" Which may I say that I found your Composition in my own personal music opinion to be a great refreshing sound with lovely lyrics and outstanding vocals and the Production was Produced and Recorded to a very Professional standard and came across as a very Radio friendly Track and I truly enjoyed the chance to review your outstanding song, well done top marks all round.

5 points for the instrumental part, 2.5 deducted....sorry....

As always I type while listening. It's like falling into the middle of the song with way too much fx levels on the vocal. The intro is too short and the vocal starts too abrupt. If you leave away the vocal, the instrumental part could do more than the vocal part. Make the vocal pure...without all the reverb which serves no purpose in this case. As someone liking synths or darker sounds like Moby uses, my attention is attracted to the instruments, not so much the vocal. It's overdone and distracts from the essence...But this is only the opinion of an amateur...only one opinion...Enjoy your music, keep the vocal pure, clean and simple...and only thén ask yourself what is needed...

Hear you

Hear where you're going. Nice intention with your ambient sound. With this type of production one has to pay a lot of attention to your reverb and delay layers. A lot of detail can be lost in the 'wall of sound'. Recommend paying attention to your sound elements, making sure the statements you want to make are heard. A lot the instrument are lost in the production, and at points the lead vocal. The late Quincy Jones once said, 'if it's in the song let it be heard otherwise take it out'. Lead vocal has a distinctive tone which lends itself well to the overall sound. Suggest getting some compression in there to control your sounds. Use gain structuring to get the element you want upfront there and you overall loudness. EQ out frequencies in areas where you don't need them to avoid 'muddying' your mix. All the best with it.
