About other voices
Other Voices, who originate from the Southern Italian region of Calabria, were officially formed in 2002. In 2005,after playing on the local scene for sometime, they released an album titled " Anatomy of a pain".The record received critical approval and Italian magazine Ritual described the band as one of the most promising in Italy.
As well as supporting the American avant - rock band El Guapo,Other Voices supported legendary '70's band The Buzzcocks in (expired link) the same year the band toured around Southern Italy and were invited to play at the annual "Blutenrausch Summer Fest" held in Berlin.
Between 2008 and 2009 the band continued to tour around Italy and writing new material.
In 2010 ,Other Voices enlisted the help of ex Dead Or Alive manager Francesco Mellina who arranged for the band to travel to Liverpool to record at the very popular Highfield Studios and be produced by ex Space bass player Yorkie, who has produced Space, Shack,Ivan Campo,The Drellas,Seven Seals and many more. In the same year Other Voices supported famous ex The Mission frontman Wayne Hussey on his first ever gig in Calabria.
The result of the work at Highfield Studios is now available as a 4 track EP titled " Beloved Child" which is released on the 11th of April 2011 on Liverpool's label My Passion Records.
Ep Beloved Child gains a lot of consensus from music critiques and has been played on important radios such as Bbc Radio, Cool Rock Radio (New York), Amazing Radio and many others.
In October 2014 they will be back in Liverpool to record a new lp made by 10 tracks. This time they have decided to record in the Parr Street Studios in Liverpool.
Yorkie is going to produce the band again and Pato comes back as sound technical. Mastering is commited to Kevin Paul, already working with Depeche Mode.
The new album is called "A way Back" and the realise is expected in 12.12.2014.
