About OTM Muzic
A-ROCK
Anthony Richardson was born in Norfolk, VA, on June 2, 1973. Anthony was born into a family of much musical influence. His grandmother and aunt often worked with record labels and radio stations. Anthony’s uncle was a disc jockey in local clubs. His upbringing influenced his musical ambitions.
Anthony began spinning records in the late 1980’s and into the 1990’s; thereby making a name for himself, as DJ Ant for a rap group called Just Plain Dope. DJ Ant fell in love with hip-hop after just one visit to the recording studio.
In 1999, DJ Ant left dee-jaying to invest in a new hobby, as A-Rock DaSupa, making beats for the Warlords, using an ARS-10 Keyboard. He formed the A-Rock Squad for unsigned artists. As A-Rock’s popularity grew, one of his instrumentals were stolen and released on the Belly Soundtrack as “Tommy’s Theme,” for which has never received credit. After group members of the Warlords moved away, A-Rock formed the Brick Yard Union, with his younger brother and college friends. In 2002, A-Rock joined the 16th Letter Management to produce music for R & B artist Lisa Thompson and Miscelanyus. Shortly after, he was awarded Producer of The Year at Urban Independent Music Awards 2003.
A-Rock separated from 16th Letter Management to form an independent record label called, On Top the Mountain Records. A-Rock’s vision is to make an impact in the music industry business as one of the hottest producer of his time. A-Rock enjoys being independent because he can expose new talent from all arenas, with his very own style.
JUST ARCHIE
Archie Boone was born in Norfolk, VA on June 30, 1983. Boone used “Vanzetti” as a pen name for his high school poetry. He spun it from the first four letters of his grandmother’s name, “Vanzola.” He worked with music industry producers that brought you, Ludacris, Cash Money and other big names before writing the song, “1God1Truth.” Archie was addicted to drugs, before pouring his heart on paper, and asking Jesus Christ to be LORD of his life. Boone says that the song changed his life. Rapping since 1999, Archie’s formed a team with the mission to reach all people. Vanzetti made a name for himself as a battle rapper, free-style lyricist, and soulful recording artist.
In 2004, Vanzetti was noted as a fore-runner in the hip-hop community in Hampton Roads, Virginia. His protégé, Portia “Absolute” Bryant stood alongside to assist him in forming the Wax Gr8 Entertainment Label. Vanzetti chose a different path from that of many music makers. His music inspires youth to make positive choices by harnessing the power of rap and spoken word.
In 2009, Vanzetti co-founded The Shoutout Music Therapy Program to showcase the music talent of children who might otherwise go unnoticed. His program catered to youth and young adults that were as passionate about music as he is. Vanzetti believes in rap not just as an art form, but as a communication tool- and ardently made sure children were both heard and supported in his or her talents.
While working on a Shoutout Music project, Vanzetti was introduced to A-Rock DaSupa as an upcoming gospel artist. Having recently launched an independent music label, A-Rock took the opportunity to produce Vanzetti’s last album entitled, “Fight or Flight.” Shortly after the release of Fight or Flight, joined A-Rock as partner of the label, On Top of the Mountain Record. Vanzetti dropped his artist moniker to strengthen the label’s brand, as A-Rock and Just Archie.
