About OX4

OX4 started as a shoegaze band, part of the new wave of Israeli retro-shoegaze bands, at the same time as Vaadat Charigim and Bela Tar, among others.

Influenced at first by the likes of Ride and Lush, the band released its 1st self titled EP (2012) and later developed to a more space rock and stoner feel with its 2nd EP, “Dana” (2013). The band transformed again to noise-pop and indie-pop with the unreleased "Where is my Rainbow" EP and the subsequent European tour. After releasing “Hyper” EP, the band went on hiatus.

While in hiatus, several of the group formed "Son Rêve", inspired by the love of 80s pop and rock music, artists like A Flock of Seagulls and Q Lazzarus. The "Son Rêve" sessions led to the revival of OX4 and the recording of a new EP "No Good" (2019).
