About paco stakkz
Gaven Shannon, professionally known as Paco Stakkz, has been carving his name in the rap game since he dropped his first rhyme at the age of fifteen. He began in his hometown of St. Louis, MO with his group, Lyrical Warfare, in 1996. They were a group mostly known for their energy filled, rapid-fire delivery and before their amicable split, released two full length CDs. As Paco, then known as Mysta G., began to prepare himself for solo status, he continued with his speedy flow but refined his style by enunciating his words with crystal clear clarity and broadening his vocabulary and because both his parents had lengthy careers in education, strengthening his word play was an easy task. With his ambitious work ethic and unique style, he quickly earned the respect from the other lyricists in the city. “As long he continues to develop his craft and stay true to himself, Paco will be the quintessential rap artist.” MCLE COO, Jenn Gilgrease firmly states. “If you are not moved by his words then you will be touched by his charismatic personality.” She adds. At age fourteen Stakkz had his heart set on beat making but as time ticked on he converted into a full-fledged emcee. "At some point a producer will rap and a rapper will produce." states Paco. Since he pressed his pad on his drum machine he’s been on his musical journey for success.
After Lyrical Warfare, Paco joined another rap group called (expired link). Muzik, taking it from five members to six members. “Believe it or not, when I initially heard Paco, I passed on him.” says former (expired link) member/MCLE CEO, Jay Love. “I loved his style but I thought it would limit him plus we already were a huge group. But it was his enunciation and pitch and just the mere way he said things that easily swayed me from a firm 'No' to a joyful 'Yes'. He proved himself to be a great addition to an already powerful group of lyricists and to this day I still get taken aback at the way he says things and I know his fans will as well.” In the early 2000s (expired link). Muzik caught the attention of Ruff Ryders and they released music under their Gamedog imprint, a subsidiary of Ruff Ryders Ent. Currently, he and his 1X ENT family are in the studio daily and is preparing material for his first full length solo effort. Paco Stakkz has been able to forge himself into a brand by rapping and sticking his hands back into the production arena and forming his own photography/film company, Digiwerkz Media. In 2011 he released mixtape entitled "Next to Blow" that was available only on the streets and in 2014 his single, "Can't Get No Higher" featuring Lisa Owens was released online on the label Maxima Cum Laude Entertainment. Paco’s freshman effort is slated for online release late winter 2016. Keep your eyes watching and your ears listening for more music and videos from Paco Stakkz and 1X ENT.
