I've been listening to Patrick's music for several years now, and am glad for a chance to review another of his releases! His intro is warm and building over a bed of strings with piano and guitar accents. By the time we get to the midpoint, Patricks warm and inviting tenor voice really inspires us! It's like a really great Disney heroic and epic production like Frozen! The orchestration is so authentic and believable, are those real players Patrick? Great mixing balance too! 5 stars all around. You should be singing for Disney bro! :-)

This song has excellent dynamics and flow, and I'm a sucker for this sort of instrumentation. I enjoyed the key change near the end with the inclusion of the drumset. To me, a drumset adds a layer of intensity to a piece, so to include drums with the key change was a rather powerful move! Great job!

Nice start to the song, but then your well trained voice dominates with such clarity and emotion. VERY impressive. The arrangement of this song and melody makes me feel like I'm in a European cathedral. Beautifully done!

The orchestra behind Patrick A Stalinski's recording of "Thankful" is picture perfect, and the production, arrangement, and mix are lush and gorgeous. The song itself is heart-melting message of taking a moment to count our blessings, even in the midst of the struggle to birth a new and better day, with all the sorrow and suffering around us. I would love to know who the song-writer is. The song itself is the strength of this recording. The weakest aspect of it is Stalinski's lead vocal, which is good but not great, for though he is proficient and can go extraordinarily high, in a recording like this, pitch needs to be perfect. I find his vocal slightly distracting throughout, singing English with an odd accent of some kind, pulling away from the song and the message, calling attention to itself, not because he intends to be flashy, but because it is not quite up to the same standard as the rest of the production. He has done a great job of surrounding himself with outstanding musicians and studio people, so the bar is very high. All that said, I can easily hear this song as the theme music for a Disney or Dreamworks movie. It is uplifing and inspiring and touching, all at the same time. Very pleasant listening. I ran it back 6 or 7 times, to focus on different aspects, and could listen to it 6 or 7 more, just for enjoyment.

What a rich and deeply touching voice. Very classic and spiritual. His diction is very clear and he sustains his notes without any loss in pitch. These may sound like simple things, but I many vocalists do not have this type of control over their vocal instrument. This one builds, and he reminds us that it is "Up to us to be the change." I really like the message here, and the sense that we are all connected. The shift in key signature was a nice surprise! Very dynamic and moving.

I love the vocal. Very well done. The entire arrangement was very well done as well. I hear a choral background somewhere in the chorus. The lyrics were well crafted with hook explaining them. Good job my friend.

I would love to hear this 'live' in a cathedral or in a 'natural' auditorium as this song lends itself to that kind of venue. The power of the lyrics take you a journey of thankfulness to our majestic God whilst recognizing that we have a role to play. Prayer is key to our life of worship and this song reflects that feeling and is a wonderful request to God for his help and his guidance in our daily life. Great production values in the recording with the subtle use of delay and echo in the voice against the soaring sound of the orchestration. Thanks for a great song.

Very nice. Full voice, good pitch, proper breathing singing like your voice teacher taught you. The melody takes me to a movie scene where the lead actor (actress) has an epiphany n joy n love abound. The music sounds like a real orchestra. Nice, real nice.

first, thanks for sharing your song. I was VERY shocked when the vocals came in. Just not expecting this style from the music. It kind of caught me off guard. Which is good. I guess we should ALWAYS expect the unexpected when it comes to creativity. I love the song, lyric's are really good. Did you write it? Love the keys on the intro and the string section is just beautiful. You have a very strong voice, your training shows up well. I really like the little modulation at the end. Overall a really good piece of work.
