Who Doesn't Love Christmas Lights?
In my neighborhood Halloween has become a very big deal. Houses are decorated to the hilt with spooky, seasonal stuff. Pumpkins are everywhere. And Halloween lights are really big. But, while I love the way people get into it, orange and white lights just don't do it for me.
Now, Christmas Lights, that's a whole other matter. Whether it's a great spectrum of colors or many strings of the same color, they bring me such joy from the first time that I see them until the last strand is taken down (we leave ours up until February, lol).
This song was inspired by that emotion and especially the way our eldest child, Stephanie, reacted to the lights as a newborn. She was born on December 2nd and one of the ways we could soothe her was to take he close to the christmas tree so that she could see the lights. That's her voice you hear singing with me.
So, I wanted to give this song a little boost as we ramp up for the Holidays. I added a couple of pictures: one shows some of our family ornaments and the other shows our male cat, Bert, who is the best cat in the whole world, admiring the tree.
Thank you again for all of your support, it means the world to me. I also truly treasure the messages you send to me. Hopefully I have responded to all of them.
