About Patty Crozier
Full Album "Midnight Queen" is available on ITunes and CD Baby!
Patty's sound? Classy, fun, empowering collection of country scream and soul filled ear candy.........
In the words of a few of Patty's most adoring fans...
"Southern belle meets drunkin' hillbilly in a high class bar fight with martinis"
or "Folk and country roots with a dash of frisky in a glass of whiskey."
or " Country fried folkie, rednexican rock with a splash of hillbilly salsa jive & mango grass on the side...."
and last but not least.... "Sounds like that hot chick that drank all my beer at the rodeo"
Patty Crozier was born and raised in Hines Creek, or should I say.... small town northern Alberta.... where dancing (two stepping) and music is interlaced into your meat. Growing up around a campfire with a guitar in her hands, she is acutely in tune and is passionate about how music has the power to change you, heal you or just make you wanna laugh and love.
Her very first influence was her father. Waking up and going to bed everyday to the sound of her father cranking out some Hank Snow, Hank Williams Sr. and Johnny Cash, music became her passion. It found it's way into her soul where it made it's bed and nested, until the opportune moment.
Years later.... When her father became ill, she posted her choppy, original acoustic tunes on sound cloud so that her sister could share them with him. (As fate would take her 4000km from home, now living in beautiful Sunny Sundridge,ON) He very much enjoyed them, but to her surprise so did others. They started liking, sharing and commenting on her material. She thought that maybe this was safe, and that no one would else would ever take the time to listen to her anyways. But, she was wrong.
By chance, she came across a comment on face book about playing a live show on the radio. Suffering from stage fright, and having never played any other gig, ever.... she finally over came her huge fear of an audience and played for the very first time on Hunters Bay Radio, (HBR 88.7fm Muskoka) A whole hour of original material. Terrified, she played facing the wall, wearing the biggest sunglasses she could find. As she sang her heart and soul into the wall, people started coming into the set, taking pics and introducing themselves. .
Since that day, she has played many shows. Each time getting a little braver, a little stronger and a little wiser.
November 11th, 2015, Patty released her debut Album “Midnight Queen” with the help of her producer Juan Barbosa, Ol' Jeff Stampy Stamp and Douglas McLovin MacLean in an intimate setting, to a sold out audience. To much of everyone's surprise, a big storm hit and the power went out (as it often does in Muskoka) and they all preformed unplugged by candle lite. Such a memorable night, as the evening received coverage from newspapers near and far. Getting coverage in Patty's hometown newspaper, The Fairview Post (Fairview Alberta) is one of the biggest highlights to her musical career. I believe we can all agree, that there is just something about making your hometown, local paper that makes your heart smile.
To date, the album has gotten a bit of attention, as Two singles have made the top 20 countdown at HBR 88.7fm, “Farm Girls” claiming a #7 spot and currently “I've got this round” or “My Friends” placing 2nd (this week). One other song to mention on this album is “Sands of Time.” On a whim, Patty entered this song into an international song writing contest on (expired link) and placed 7th, to much of her surprise. (Although, promising that her best friend, Tracey Jordan would french kiss anyone who voted for her may have helped out a touch...)
Patty is currently (with producer Juan Barbosa, at small temple studios; in Huntsville, ON) working on her second album, titled “Ladies Night.”
She is planning on releasing it on Nov 11th, 2016, as this date is special to her... since the passing of her late father; Thomas Hayduk, on 10th of Oct 2014, Celebrating his life through music, releasing it on what would have been his birthday.... seems only fitting.
Check out her new album “Ladies Night!” On all music sharing platforms.
