I’m now 65, and have been writing and playing country music since I was 9 years old. I love all the standard country songs and singers, Hank Williams, George Jones, Ray Price, George Strait, etc. But I also love a lot of the more contemporary songs/singers, Zac Brown, Tracey Lawrence, Trace Atkins, Jason Aldean, etc. Although I do think “rap” style music is a recognized music genre, it just doesn’t move me. "Just sayin’."
