Song Reviews
Cool songs keep emerging
Such is The Same Man by Paul Mandaca. Liked the song very much: it is visibly simple yet absolutely to the point. Although there is not this much simplicity when look at the vocal harmony in the chorus. There is an absolutely phenomenal A note whereas the chord presumably is E here. And it sounds so cool and convincing, thus building up the prime musical of this song for me personally. I always admire things others do which I might myself never guessed it's possible. Cool. Besides, I love the guitar parts here in this song. You know a good rock band sure needs good drums, good vocals, good writer of songs, but even prolific songwriter means nothing to me without a good guitar play, and thank God, it's available on this song. And one thing else: remember - guitar music will never come out of style. Why? The answer is but very simple: God gave US rock-and-roll!

The same man
Top stuff! ! This song is full of great hooks and a memorable chorus . A very good pop song. My only criticism would be that there is a bit to much reverb on everything and the backing vocals are a little high in the mix. Recommended !!

The Same Man
This song has a very very good feeling since its first seconds. I liked all the arrangement so much. The singers' voices are amazing and all instruments are well played. The production is good. A song that really got me!

Great groove.
Best song I've heard in a while, Great groove with a strong hook and ringing background vocal/harmonies. I really like the reverb on the voice which helps it carry to a nice degree over the guitar and band. When you have a song that has drive like this, it's always helpful that lyrics are easy to understand, especially through the key changes.

Not the Same
There's nothing like a good guitar riff and drum beat to make you immediately get into a song. It's catchy and you wanna start thumping your foot on the floor. Here's the problem with this song - the vocals are well sung, but sound too far in the background. The vocals should be front and center once the singer begins singing. In production, mixing, the levels should be higher. The singer sounds a little like Jim Morrison and needs to shine!

Nice work
Hello Paul, Really nice job man, reminds me of an upbeat Neal Young who jammed with the Talking Heads, I mean this to be a compliment I enjoyed the song very much. I can relate to the lyrics as well. Keep up the great work man. Cheers from Alaska.

A Summer Song IMO
Like the intro, very reminiscent of mid 60's Pete Townshend and the Who, nice up tempo tune with nice harmony backing vocals. Main vocal doesn't immediately grab me as being fantastic but perhaps that is foreign language singer converting to English so not a major concern for me. Guitar playing is crisp and nuanced. Overall sound of the band is good, I didn't immediately get the feel of the bass, but again not a major issue. Overall a very nice pop flavoured song and this will be a very good summer song in the car driving!

I Liked It.
Nicely done with great energy all the way from the beginning to the end. Reminded me a bit of the Rolling Stones at some points when the lead guitar comes in. That's what made 'this' song great to me personally, cause I like the way it covered the background. Nice work, Paul Mandaca...and I wish you the Best here at N1Music....

like a ballad
i like this song. good ambient and effects for a soft rock ballad. The start is like the '70 s rock ballads, classic and full of sound. After there are changes and a the voice in first listen . I think that this voice needs a little more of interpretation and needs a lot of personality. But..go on and don't stop ....!!

Rock'n Roll
Rock'n Roll, this is what we are talking about here, very efficient rock and roll though. Clean fuzzy guitars, lively rythm, effiicient voice plus a ,cryipy guitar solo. All that brought in a delightfull package : professionnal unblemished production.

Upbeat and driving
This is a song that you can tap your foot to. Easy listening, and catchy. I liked this song after just hearing it once. It would be a good song to put on the CD player while driving down the road with your windows open.

Good guitar driven rock song!
I like the tone on the guitar with the riff heading into the initial verse. It would be great to have some more compression for clarity on the vocals putting them front and center. On the outro would be good to vary the lyrics to add some more texture to the message and keep it interesting. Maybe another singer with a call and response to the theme of the “very same man”Guitar tone at the end really great. Any interest in singing in Portuguese maybe a cross over song? You have a strong, rock quality to your voice. All in all a catchy hook and good song. Good look and I hope that is helpful

Absolute natural and cracking into the ear!
This is a good rocking track! Drums in the front row, to frame the sound. Guitars are painting with the bass rhythm patterns to roll out the carpet for the voices... I like the snare sound very much, absolute natural and cracking into the ear like it should! There's nothing big to complain, it's more or less subject to everyone's individual taste. I think this is worth a try! Keep on and stay on track!
