Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the late sixties and inspired by the soundtrack of old cartoons, Paulo Calarezo started very early to become interested in music and at the age of fourteen began to take his first classes.
At the age of seventeen he began to integrate his first musical groups, playing practically everything, like Rock, Fusion, Afro Music, Jazz, regional music, Pop and MPB in general. In this period, the OHNIS group, which melted several Brazilian rhythms with World and Pop Music, and in that phase accompanied the tropicalist composer Tom Zé, where he acted as guitarist, singer and developed works with several experimental instruments. He graduated in Social Communication, graduated in Music and became a Specialist in Brazilian Popular Music at the Carlos Gomes Music School in São Paulo.
In the early nineties he began to dedicate himself to the Blues, forming his first band, the "Tupinic Blues". At the same time, he worked with several groups of this and other genres, playing in the main concert halls in the city of São Paulo and outside the city of São Paulo, where he acquired respect and admiration from various musicians and specialized critics. He participated in a second phase of the group "Urublues" from where he retired to set up his own work where he merged the blues with Brazilian music, composing typically national songs, a work that yielded the album "Paulo Calarezzo Blues Loud" in 2003.
As a teacher, he taught music in several schools in the city of São Paulo, developed and implemented courses with a strong performance in the area of chords and practice together. In these thirty years of activity he has participated in the formation of several musicians and artists who now work professionally. Among the main institutions that we have visited are: the Brooklin Paulista Conservatory, at the time one of the most respected schools in Brazil; The Santa Clara College; Musical Conservatory of Butanta, where he teaches instrument for several years; And the School of Music Carlos Gomes - UNIESP, where he contributes to the formation of future musical educators.
n parallel to his didactic and artistic works, he still finds time for the most diverse activities related to music such as concerts, plays, clubs, parades, dance bands, nightclubs and recordings, producing jingles, trails and writing arrangements.
In addition to his solo projects, most recently he was part of the Polissìntese Jazz Group, an instrumental music group that dissolved in 2010, and the "Cara de Choro" Trio.
