Landed! .... whew, temps sure are higher here than in the emerald isle. Going from Pow Wow (Thunderbird today) to PowWow (RedHawk on my Birthday, next weekend) So far have had a different time here in NYC, besides balancing the sometimes slippery slope of getting better health wise, and healing up on a permanent basis!!, but also - no (public, intentional) gigs, but just concentrating on rehearsing my wee band members (my two boys, 8 and 10yrs) and arranging with them, a couple more of my songs at their request :) They are adorable and breathe new life into my humble songs, that I genuinely am super excited till we're fully ready to share with all of ye .. (have had couple spontaneous crowds gathering round us when playing whenever we're out.. Brooklyn deserves special mention here! What up Nostrand!), but we're still fine-tuning at this point :) Might have a House Concert next week, in Connecticut, (ca. 1hr from NYC) This would be hosted by our kind buddy Marky Minopoli, who was partner to my beautiful cousin Cindy, who only passed away this year, after a too-brief bout with cancer of the pancreas... I dedicated my first NYC HouseConcert to Cindy (she was only still getting to grips with diagnosis/outcome, things still hadn't been confirmed at that point) .. Check back for details.
