Song Reviews

A mellow, dramatic, soundtrack music for an upcoming movie possibly...?

Pete Kazan has come up a great song here! Starts of with an intro of piano, to give a certain feel & vibe (classical genre), but changes rather quickly to a little synth addition to give it the electronic feel, which was refreshing on the initial listen for me. Then the percussion/drums kick-in (no pun intended), and the song dynamically changes to a pop song instantly. I appreciate the multi-genre style of music, because I do the same with my music, so I am a bit more partial to other artists who this. Regardless, this is an instrumental that has great builds throughout the song, and the piano notes/cords/riffs change frequently to keep you engaged to this song. Towards the end of this song, he builds its up more for the last 20 seconds or so, adding some extra keyboard to finish it off with a large ended crescendo or boom... and it ends. VERY NICE by the way! If you're into piano mix with a couple other genres of music, then please check out Pete Kazen's song, "The Storm".

You Certainly Named This Track Right!

Initially as I was browsing for a track to review it was the title "The Storm" that caught my attention. I also have a song with this title, but you and I definitely went in different directions! What a fantastic composition this is! Well done! Instantly my mind was bombarded with images of stormy but beautiful weather, this song really captures the essence of being 'Stormy'... But in a great way. :D Great job.

Melodic Piano

Organic introduction leads into an arpeggio based four by four dance based around a piano melody. The composition transitions at the 30% point and then reverts to the original verse - chorus structure. The melodic structure keeps the listener's interest as it progresses through its various stages. The arrangement is well executed. The mix is even with very little to criticize. The one negative is the track suffers from the MIDI effect which makes it evident that the song was created on a computer.

The Storm....

Latent and subliminal excitation is how I would describe this song. This musical composition invades the Listener's senses like a downpour of a rainstorm. It is surreal in it's complexity and ingenuity. Relaxing and stimulating at the same time like a real rain storm. Something to listen to on the way home on a Friday night. Pete Kazen has brought a very refreshing new vibe in the electronica genre. I hope to hear more like this with a bit more nature.

yes

The Storm is a piece that starts so that one does not expect because from the title one would expect a piece that would give the sense of the storm. instead you find yourself in front of a classic piece that has been arranged as a modern piece, like a Hungarian ballad, or a disco piece 90 years. all in all the melody is nice and the piece is pleasant so I tell you that the piece is me liked.

The storm review

Peter Kazen is a man that uses his imagination in terms of music and notes that can be easily read in his patterns. He's contaminated by some reasons like if he's writing a kind of ghost song using sounds taken from horror movies but if you pay more attention he is not. In fact he probably writes his songs with the help of a digital sequencer choosing sounds from a variety of clips from vts instruments making it become his own mark. On my opinion he deserves attention from now on, maybe he'll come out with new subjects and we could read better his works. Wish him a good luck and keep it up.
