Hi, first of all I'd like to thank you for connecting and following me here on N1M, it's great to know that there are people like you out there taking the time to listen to and support the unsigned artists / bands and each other. News? Well, I have a couple of new songs released since my last N1M newsletter; The first is a song called 'Promises', featuring vocals by Anna Yanova-Cattoor. This is a sad piano song written in 2013 about a relationship destroyed by lies and deceit. I had intended to go to town with massive orchestration on this one, but the more I listened to Anna's superbly subtle vocal, the more it suited the simplest piano & string arrangement. The second song is called 'I Don't Fit In', which was originally written in 2010 but finally released in July 2015. It's about not fitting in ... with anything really! That odd, overwhelming feeling that the world isn't quite right for you. Happily, this view has changed a bit as I've grown older. This track troubled me for ages - I tried several different vocalists to get the right quirky 'clean' sound and feel, but in the end I kept my original rough guide vocal to give the song an airing and to hear what people think of it. Anyone up for vocal collab on this one guys?
