The Way It Is.........Track Two

Hello all 2296 Subscribers,
I do hope that you are all doing well in this ravaged world of ours. Since last I posted a song I have retired from the 9 to 5 (yes I'm that old) Moved permanently to Scotland and just released an album on all the main streaming platforms.

The Album is called "Refill Your Half-full Glasses" and today I am posting a song called "Storm" which was prompted by the war in Ukraine.

Over the coming months I shall be posting the remaining tunes ono-by-one from the album.

Fallen Angels (80's Tribute)

Hi everyone

I hope you really are all safe and well and yes I know it has been a while. Thank you for your patience.

Musical Inspiration and my work life balance seem to be taking an ever increasing toll as I age. Fingers crossed for the remainder of 2022

Earth's Heartbeat is another tune about mankind's stewardship of Planet Earth.
I'm sure we humans will get the right balance of consumption and preservation eventually. Not holding my breath though.

I planned to upgrade/change most of my gear this year. So a new guitar and FX box are already in attendance plus I'm learning a new DAW for recording. Just a new PC later on in the year is required.

God laughs at our plans, and I my plans have been on a diversion for a while but fortunately I'm back recording.

This latest ditty turned into a bit of a marathon as I try to improve everything on the music side of things, I hope you like it.

Hi everyone.

Hoping you are all well, as we come to the end of 2020.

It's been a year to forget for most, so it is hard to be positive in the face of such continuing bad news. As the years go by I temper my natural optimism with a level of cynicism born out of experience, but we must never give up or give in.

This last song was influenced by our UK governments plan for us to have a normal a Christmas as is possible for five days.

My message to everyone, please try to plan for a safe, happy and healthy new year. Help those you can, and please ask for help if you need it.

Hello everyone.

Despite the subject matter of this latest tune, I do hope that you all are well and are coping with this international health crisis.

One of these issues is being on Lock-down and being confined to home.

Surprisingly, Do-It-Yourself (DIY) has surged as we smarten up our homes & attend to those repairs, improvements and upgrades that we never seem to get around to doing.

This little song is firmly Tongue-in-cheek and intentionally light hearted. A pop tune aimed at just putting a smile on your face as we persevere through the highs and lows of dealing with Covid-19.

I do hope that it succeeds and that you stay well, healthy & happy.

Hi everyone.

This last few months have tested all of us so I do hope that you are safe & well and above all managing OK.

This latest posting "Destiny" is one of a few songs that I have finished whilst stuck indoors for three months. Inspired by the thought that we may not have as much control of our lives as we think we have.

The proposed house move is now definitely off so the temporary studio is putting down roots again. Online shopping to get some musical goodies have also put a smile on my face and helped me finish the songs.

As you venture out be careful. I will post another ditty in 3 to 4 weeks time so take care.

Hello to all you loyal Subscribers.

Thanks for still being here. Thanks to those messages of support, and I really do hope that you are all safe & well.

With a planned house move cancelled and most stuff boxed or being un-boxed, things are still in a state of flux, and that's not taking into account the Human malware we are all trying to avoid. I've had to put together a basic studio corner to stay sane and continue strumming/recording.

Unfortunately, the song "Another Headline" was inspired by a celebrity taking her life in Mid February.

Don't be afraid or too proud to ask for help. Most of us have been there.

I really will not leave it this long between posting songs regardless of my housing situation so stay safe and thank you all again for your patience and understanding

For your patience, support, and for being there. I try to look and write about life with good humour and an everyday honesty even though some topics can be challenging. Brexit, for those not having to suffer the process has broken our parliamentary system, whatever side you support. I am literally posting this with Members of the Government resigning after 3 yrs of failure.

Treading the line between a good tune and social commentary is hard to get right and I don't pretend to always manage it but, thanks for listening regardless and thanks for those who take the time to message me. We can only try to do our best.

I have re looked at this song so many times that moving house is literally the only reason I MUST post it and not re start again.

My next song will be from a new "Make do studio" so until then keep rising to those challenges life throws at you, don't give up on the people around you and appreciate every second.
