PHONETIX was founded at 1991 in Prague, Czech republic. We released 10 albums, the last one is "Uprostred noci" (2012). Now we play simply DARK POP. PHONETIX
One of the oldest continuously existing synthypop bands in Czech republic.
PHONETIX was formed in 1991 on the initiative of vocalist, songwriter and lyricist Hynek Holubec, songwriter Marek Minarik and keyboard player Marek Zajac.
The longevity of PHONETIX is generally atributed to their ability to create melodic songs with interesting lyrics.
The band was associated with the Czech new romantic movement, but now they play simply pop music.
PHONETIX has most visited synthypop band sites in Czech republic on (expired link) , where you can download for free over 40 full songs in MP3 from years 1991 till 2007, including interesting remixes.
