I like to smooth groove a great deal. I too thought that it was going to be an instrumental, however, I do like to break away from standard structures myself. Perhaps a vocal adlib early on to tease the audience might help avoid the surprise in the future. Mix is tight though.

I would have liked to have the vocals come in earlier because the music intro doesn't allow you to want to wait for that long. The song has an atmosphere and that's good.
