Greetings Reggae Lovers
I am Ted Vassell,
Jamaican via UK
Now in Sydney, Australia
But i will never forget my Roots.
Reggae promoter and Radio Presenter,
Thanks to Community Radio Station, 2RRR fm, Sydney Australia.,
Going Back to 1991, After arriving here 1986, From the UK, Where i was schooled and grew up after my parents emigrated from Jamaica,at the age of 15,
I got my first chance around the Dexx on federal sound system,
and Count Shelly,
These two sound systems were two of the pioneers of reggae promotions in the London in those days,
And i still have the reggae bug to keep on playing Reggae music,
You may say, I'm caring on with their vision to spread reggae to the four corners of Jah world.
On my arrival in Sydney,
My first weekend was spent searching for a Reggae club,
There were none,
I regularly went to a club where they would play three reggae tracks for the whole night
Bob Marley's;
Could you be love
and
Reta Marley's;
One Drow,
I was persuaded by friend to try and do a Radio program,
I approach one of my local community radio Station,, I was offered two hours evening drive time slot,
After a few months, i was offered three morning, Three hours breakfast reggae program at 2RRR, That ran for 5 yrs,
Thanks to 2RRR for that opportunity,
My programs went so well,
I was sent to the Australian Radio & Tv school,
I receive my diplomas for Radio presenting & Advance presenting Courses,
On my depart from 2RRR, i was introduce to An internet streaming Radio station,
Groove FM,
Again, The response was excellent
When my time ended, I decided to develop my own station,
Playing a variation of Reggae Music for lovers like myself at
Power Cuts Radio
At Power Cuts Radio, My aim is to keep up to date with latest Releases from Jamaican artists, producers, And my global Reggae families linking with there promos Daily,
