About Prophets of Conviction

When you think about the history of the Bay Area Metal/Music scene you have to mention the name Carlton Melson. Carlton was a founding member of the legendary metal band “Exodus” with Kirk Hammett, lead guitarist of Metallica. He also went on to join the band “Blizzard” which gave Jeff Becerra “The Godfather of Death Metal” and Larry Lalonde, lead guitarist of “Primus”, their starts. He has since went on to create bands and produce artists, such as: Colonel Flagg, The Pole Project, Repulsa, and T-Porter. Each time he brings his unique style and creativity to the projects he is involved with. Very few African-American men have influenced the Bay Area Metal music scene as Carlton.
