blues for you baby
nice song , nice voice, nice production. That pretty much says it all. A very impressive thing to me is as simple as the production is there are a couple touches that brings this to another level. First is the often subtle use of reverb on her voice, not too much ,and always in the right places to give a bit more life to the vocal. otherwise it becomes too dry. I saw you are listed as a trio , but I only hear vocal ,and piano ??? Yes this could have had a ton more production, but why mess with a good thing. There is a purity in this version of voice , and piano because they compliment each other so well, nothing extra is needed.

Very haunting but uplifting I like the melody In the chords that you're using It makes it very easy and focused that it's just piano and your voice thank you for letting me review this.RRR

Very Touching
I like your vocal quality, good range, and solid performance. Touching. I really listened to the lyrics and I got goosebumps. I think that overall this song is very good. I am a semi-retired producer and the only thing I would do differently is how I would have mixed the piano track a little crisper. Keep up the good work!!!

Great Song
Beautiful song. Wish the overall mix included more low end, seems to be heavy on middle frequencies. Might also turn up slightly the very upper end to catch all the harmonics of the piano and the vocals. Increasing the low end would also pick up on the bass elements of the piano. Very Jan Arden sounding. Beautiful song. Love the vocals. Feel free to message if I can help in any way.

"Baby Blue" by Rachel Walker Trio
Upon your very first listen to "Baby Blue" by Canada's (British Columbia) Rachel Walker Trio, you cannot help but to be deeply impressed by the musicianship, production values and compositional skill on full display by this fine band. While the Rachel Walker Trio's musical influences are very obvious, the band has undoubtedly developed a sound that is uniquely their own and very compelling. Highly recommended!

Nestled within the realms of both balladry and singer/songwriter styles. From the opening chords, the listener is drawn into a world of raw emotion, where the haunting vocals paint vivid imagery against a backdrop of gentle acoustic strums. BABY BLUE REVIEW
Really nice keyboard start. Nice tone and feel. You have a beautiful voice for this composition as well. I originally thought you would put more production and instrumentation in this but after hearing it all the way through, it simply doesn't need it. A very nice song with just the piano and pad. Again, the vocals are amazing. Keep writing and submitting more. Love it!

Stands out!
The piano comes in soft and then against a lullaby background a sweet voice really pops out. I enjoyed the orchestral qualities and harmonies. The vocals are so clear and crisp they really stand out in this lovely tune.

bel pianoforte

Fine female vocalist but mono recording in 2023...stereo would be better...
I always review when playing. I miss the high clear tones that would make the experience a different one. Also the mono experience does not improve the recording in this case. The vocal is very good. For production I would prefer a wider piano, a clearer eq and less reverb on the vocal. But that's just my taste. If you are a live performer...that's where your chances are...

Rachell walker trio "baby blue"
Rachell walker trio "baby blue" straight away from the opening vocal line you can hear that "Rachell"? has an above average voice? Or is it someone else in the trio? This is indeed a good thing as there is a huge amount of vocalists coming out that fall straight into the average sounding thing. At first It reminded me of Juice Newton mixed with kate bush and dropped down an octave or 2 but wait it's still different. When something sounds as good as this does the artist needs to ask themselves what do they need to do to bring the song to the point where a major would release it as is. The synth sounds did not do much for me. And I would think another 5-30 seconds worth of piano between some of the vocal parts might help to make the song better over all.

BABY BLUE
WHAT'S NOT TO LIKE HERE SOLID VOCAL EMOTION OVER A SPARSE PIANO BACKGROUND LEAVES NOTHING TO IMAGINATION THERE IS PURE SOUL HERE AND A CONNECTIVENESS OF THE HUMAN CONDITION WHICH SHINES THROUGH FROM THE HEART OF THIS CANADIAN TRIO SOMETIMES IN LIFE LESS IS MORE AND IN THIS CASE IT REALLY IS

Wow, how much power in one song, in one voice that says so much and touches the places of the soul that only want love. I was very touched by your voice. I'm glad I got to meet your work and I hope you continue to make music as long as you are. All the best, keren

Sad and unique
A really sad song, with harmonies far out of the mainstream. Never heard something like this before. Good that there is sort of a chorus from time to time, the chords in the verses are not that easy to follow. Reduced to the max with only three minutes playing time, no unnecessary gimmicks or instrumental parts. Outstanding lead voice with precise intonation. Good production with a lot of reverb, but piano songs otherwise sound like being recorded in a closet. Well done.

Blue No More
One of the things I enjoy most about Number One Music artists is the newfound ability to hear music from around the world by singers who I'd never have the chance to listen to otherwise. That, in itself, is a great thing. Here, with this song the soft piano intro and breathy vocals of the Rachel Walker Trio glide into this quiet tale. Vocally dynamic yet so powerful and simple at the same time. Delightfully produced. Definitely not a "rock" song as this is categorized. Adult Contemporary for the win.
