RAMON DIAZ GROUP

Ramon Diaz committed to a repertoire of original compositions, where proposed new contexts that will serve to further develop their musical concept. Proposes a fresh and fully merged with current trends issues. It has five CDs to his name the first three in a quartet (two saxophones, bass and drums) and the last two to quintet. His fourth CD "Diàleg" was very well received by national and international critics (Village Voice, Jazz Special, Hot Jazz, Jazz Magazine, Tomajazz, Apollo and Bacchus). He has also received awards for best CD of 2006 "Diàleg" by Jazz Musicians Association of Modern Music in Catalunya i) and Best Group of 2006. Later he recorded his fifth album "Unblocking" which was released in early 2008 and also it received good national and international criticism.
He is currently preparing a new project to trio (sax, bass and drums) with which is playing throughout Spain, this new group is formed by:

Ramon Diaz - Battery
Jeppe Rasmussen - Saxos
Emilio Martin - Bass
Ruben Luis Guitarra

And with that in 2015 he recorded his sixth album, with a repertoire of mostly original songs.
