Irons in the Fire
"You've got too many irons in the fire" is an old expression that is from ranching. When they were branding cattle, if they put too many irons in the fire, the branding irons would go cold and the fire would go out.
People use this expression to say, "You're too busy; you don't have time for me." And so the fire of love can go out....
This song is about a man or woman who desires to spend more time with the person they love. It is also about the invitation from God who wants us to be close to Him.
Jesus was born into this world, and He has felt all the feelings we have as humans. God sent His Son as a baby - and who is afraid of a baby? It's not about following a stale religion. It's about spending our lives with Jesus who gave His life for us!
Walking all alone by myself in the rain
You've go too many irons in the fire
I brush back my hair; I see you everywhere
You've got too many irons in the fire....
I want you back....
"If anyone loves Me, they will do what I ask, and My Father will love them. And We will come to them, and make their heart our home." (From John chapter 14).
Read John chapters 13, 14, 15, & 16. Ask Jesus to come into your life, and if you have been living far away from Him, He will always take you back....
Always!
