Back In The Real World - Listen on N1M

Boxes (& Containers)....

Any house is really just a box. Our cars are boxes with wheels on them. These containers hold us - and we enjoy them on the earth for a short time. And many people ride around in boxes with wheels and wings and windows which carry them everywhere.

When we are born we come inside of a "container" (our body). Through living and moving around our containers grow larger and then they call us an "adult." Other people can see our "container," and we can see it in a mirror - but only the Lord can see the real person inside.

When our own "container" disintegrates (at the end of our time on earth), the real person inside looks at everything they worked so hard to obtain and (possibly for the first time) realizes that containers and boxes don't matter anymore. Their body is gone and so is everything they had and did on earth.

If we know Jesus Christ and have accepted and received His payment for the things we have done wrong while we lived in our personal "container," we then walk into a completely different reality and a new world which has nothing to do with containers & boxes we left behind on earth. Jesus gives us a new body which will never disintegrate.

But imagine trying to pay for things done wrong with containers, boxes, and pieces of paper called "riches" and "money" to God who rules both the world of containers on earth and the new world you have just entered. Paper riches and boxes and containers which disintegrate have no place or power in the world which lasts for eternity. And eternity is God's home, and He decides who can live in that world of forever.

God gave us His Son who paid for our entrance to heaven where the things on earth don't matter anymore.

Can you see His love for us - when He gave His only Son?
That we might live forever with Him; That we might live forever with Him....

"For God so loved everyone that He gave His only Son to die and pay for wrongs done on earth, that whoever receives His gift will not see their personal container disintegrate and then be lost in oblivion forever, but they will enter the world of forever and receive a new body which will never disintegrate." John 3:16 (My own version)

Everyone is invited to say this prayer and accept God's free payment - it is easy for us, but it was very very difficult for Jesus to make this possible!

"Dear Lord Jesus, please forgive me of what I have done wrong; please help me to forgive others who have hurt me. I accept your payment on the cross for what I have done wrong, and I leave all of my hurts and disappointments at the cross where you died for the sins of the world. I ask you to be the Lord of my life from now on. In Jesus' name, amen."

The Poultice of Ziklag

There was a city called Ziklag where a man named David and 600 other forgotten men lived with their families and few possessions. They were always on the run; unwanted, unimportant, and uninvited by the world.

David and his men left the city and when they came back, the city was burned by fire and all their loved ones were gone - kidnapped by their enemies.

They cried out in anguish and their tears fell into the black ashes which covered the ground. Nothing was left of all they had in this world. They crawled back onto their horses and rode off to look for their families.

David was to be crowned king of Israel, but now even the loyal 600 were talking about killing him. But David "Encouraged himself in the Lord." (Read the story in I Samuel chapter 30).

How did David encourage himself when everyone turned against him, and there was nothing except ashes covering his feet? At that point in time, their loved ones might all be gone forever.

For many in California, ashes still fly in the wind, carrying memories that are left of their lives now gone. Tragedies are everywhere in this world - it seems more than ever.

David encouraged himself in the Lord with the comfort that comes from God, like a poultice on a wound. A poultice is made of leaves or tree bark or other natural materials crushed together and rubbed on a wound for healing. So, too, the comfort of God was like a poultice on his mind and heart in the city of Ziklag.

"I am the High and Lofty One, who inhabits eternity; I also dwell with the contrite and lowly of spirit, in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and the heart of the contrite." (Isaiah 57:15)

Contrite people are those who ask forgiveness for what they have done wrong and who humble themselves before God, asking for help. Immediately God draws near and an unexplainable peace and reassurance fills the hearts and minds of those who sincerely trust in the One who sees and knows everything.

God says, "I will give you beauty for ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness...." (Isaiah 57:15)

Jesus said, "The birds have their nests & the foxes have their holes, but I don't have anywhere to lay my head." (Matthew 8:20)

Jesus was a forgotten man in the eyes of the world, but His words will never be forgotten. His words are like a poultice on our hearts and our minds; His promises are forever and will never be taken away from us.

"I go to prepare a place for you." (John 14:3)

For those who have asked Jesus Christ to forgive the things they have done wrong and to be in charge of their life we have this hope that will never disappoint us -

"He has given us an inheritance which is incorruptible, undefiled, which will never fade away, reserved in heaven for us." (I Peter 1:4)

"Your life is hidden with Christ in God - and when Christ appears, you will appear with Him in glory..." Colossians 3:4

All of these promises are true, and can be like a poultice on your heart and mind when there is nothing covering your feet except ashes. What the world has will never stay - what the world gives will all fade away....

"My peace I leave with you; My peace, I give to you." (John 14:27)

Make yourself a poultice - mix together John chapter 14, Revelation chapter 4, and Romans chapter 8, and apply it to the wounds on your heart and mind.

Use the poultice of Ziklag.

Not From the Earth

God sent His Son - to be the Savior of the world!

"God's testimony is this: That He has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son; whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life..." (I John 5:11-12)

God sent His Son as a baby - who is afraid of a baby? God gave His only Son - the greatest gift of all - and this is what Christmas is all about - the free gift of His Son - who has died and risen again to pay for our sins and give us eternal life!

It was impossible for Jesus; but easy for us:

"Dear Lord Jesus, please come into my life, forgive me of what I have done wrong, and be my friend forever." Start reading the book of John in the New Testament of the Bible every day, and this year - and from now on - learn as much as you can about Jesus! Then someday you will meet Him, and live in His house with His family forever!

This is how to have a really merry Christmas!

Darkened Dawn

When nothing is sacred

Dawn becomes darkness

Right now there is a lot of strife, fear and anger before the 2024 presidential election. Please remember what we have to be thankful for, and that much of the negative social media has more to do with making money than anything helpful or encouraging.

Their titles & fake pictures of people in the news (using software to contort their facial expressions to radiate extreme fear, shock, or anger) are used to generate views and money for them.

"If there is anything good, think on these things...." (Philippians 4:8)

In spite of everything that is happening all around us, one thing never changes:

"God loves us and sent His Son." (I John 4:9)

There are riches that come and go, but God's Son makes us truly rich and that can never be take away. Seek the true riches and you will find peace in a world of chaos....

I wrote a song called "Fades Away."

In Revelation chapter 4 the Lord is described sitting on His throne! "The One sitting was like a Jasper stone and a Sardius in appearance; there was a rainbow around the throne like an emerald in appearance...."

Sardius has a beautiful orange-red glow in the light; Jasper can be a similar color. Since both types of stones are mentioned in this passage, I believe that orange-red is the color. There is also a rainbow around the throne, and a sea of glass before the throne. I believe the sea of glass is a massive expanse of something like clear crystal with deep hues of blue and green. This is what I used to create my version of this scene in heaven when I made the picture that goes with the song "You Remain the Same."

The Ancient of Days is sitting on His throne with thousands upon thousands of angels and supernatural beings attending Him! Take a break from the burdens and cares of this world and say what is said in the Psalms:

"This one thing I have desired; this I will seek - that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple. For in the day of trouble you will keep me safe under the shelter of your wings...."

Turn your attention to the Lord; pray and ask Jesus into your life if you haven't yet; come into the beautiful place and call it your home and experience peace and joy in spite of all that is happening.

I've had lousy jobs most of my life. I've been used, made fun of, cheated, lied to, subjected to very dangerous conditions, been permanently injured, and on and on it goes. One time when I was fired from a job, it was a great day for me! I got to leave that place forever, and I thought to myself, "They can't fire me again - I'm going down the road!" I was laughing so hard! I was free!

After healing multitudes, and doing nothing but good his whole life, Jesus was convicted and sentenced to die on a cross by those who hated him. There was no jury - nothing was fair. The most innocent man who ever lived on this earth suffered the most injustice and cruelty ever done to anyone!

They buried him and his enemies put a large stone in front of the tomb, sealed it with a government seal, and placed armed guards in front of the tomb!

Then Jesus, the Son of the Living God, rose from the dead! The stone and the armed guards were no problem!

I can't imagine how it must have felt to say - "They can't kill me again!"

"He is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13:8

And Jesus says, "Do not be afraid! I am the FIRST and the LAST, and THE LIVING ONE; I was DEAD, and now I am ALIVE FOREVERMORE! And I hold the keys (the authority) over death and hell! Revelation 1:17-18

They can't kill Him again!

"He that has the Son has LIFE!" "NO OTHER NAME has been given to mankind through which we can be saved and spend eternity with the Prince of Life! Today, don't wait - the TIME IS SHORT! "Dear Lord Jesus, come into my life, forgive me of what I have done wrong, help me to forgive those who have hurt me, please be my friend and take me with You when You return (could be any day now)! I worship and praise you, because no one can KILL YOU AGAIN!

I wrote a song called "You remain the same."

Listen to this song, and then go outside tonight and look at the stars! This time is temporary - suffering and hardship will end! Jesus will take you home to be with Him forever, maybe today, maybe tomorrow....Jesus is the only person who lived before he was born, lived again after He died, and His kingdom is based upon an indestructible life!

Pray and ask for help & hope & forgiveness from the Lord Jesus Christ, whose life is indestructible!

A woman was trying to teach her class the Lord's prayer and one little boy would not say the words "Our Father who is in heaven...." She found out that his dad locked him and his sister in a motel room and left them. After a couple days a deputy sheriff found them. They were hungry and frightened. The next week, the woman asked the boy, "What would you like to say?" He said, "Our deputy sheriff...."

So now he would say the prayer.

"Whoever does not love has not become acquainted with God (does not and never did know Him), for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned; in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique Son into the world so that we might live through Him." (I John 4:8-9) Amplified Bible

"There is no fear in love (dread does not exist), but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror). For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and (so) he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love (is not yet grown into love's complete perfection). We love Him, because He first loved us. If anyone says, 'I love God,' and hates (detests, abominates) his brother in Christ, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen." I John 4:18-20 Amplified Bible

There is no fear in love. God is love. People hate. People choose to do wrong.

Jesus paid for what is wrong - what people do wrong. He is the doorway to our Father in heaven - our Father is love.

Read one verse in the morning and one verse at night from I John chapters 4 & 5 for a whole year. Think about it. Take off the "glasses" of the world system and live your life in these 2 chapters. You will have peace in your heart, and a good pair of "boots" to walk on the broken glass and stones of the world system. You will never be the same. And when you need a friend, a real friend, go to your Father "Who sees in secret." He is waiting for you now.

Talk to others who know Jesus
Pray for each other

Listen to positive music
Music that worships Jesus Christ
Keep your thoughts on Jesus
Wait for Him and ask Him to help fight
your battles & carry your burdens.

"Fear not, I am with you. Be not dismayed,
I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help
you; I will lift you up with my

There are many reasons nowadays to have a broken heart - and sometimes things don't let up when you are already down.

Like being on a long stairway, going up, and people behind want you to go faster - but you can't.

"Shut up and go to work."

Maybe that's what many people hear in their minds nowadays.

There is a sack around the heart called the pericardium. When Jesus died on the cross, a soldier pierced this sack with a spear and blood and water ran out. This was proof that Jesus literally died of a broken heart.

But He rose again, lives today, and no matter what you have done, He will forgive you if you just ask. It's hard to carry burdens in life having to do with paying your bills, and it's even harder when you are carrying the past.

Jesus died of a broken heart for all of us. We all need Him & His forgiveness. And we need to ask Him for "Times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).

Read the book of John (one chapter per day) and do that again and again. Find out who Jesus is, and ask Him for forgiveness and to be your friend.

Ask Him to give you the "True Riches."

I wrote a song called "Living Water," and it was written during a very broken time in my life. Jesus brought me through, and has been my best friend since I was 13.

If you have a broken heart, Jesus knows what it is like. Have faith in Him no matter what happens, and ask Him to help fight your battles. No one has ever loved you more than Jesus.

I wrote a song about a character named "Pop-N'-Jay" - a cyborg with disabilities that has had trouble for a long time with those who don't want him, who make fun of him. His circuitry pops every so often - and there are electrical problems in his system. I wrote a story, too, in which he is the main character ("Glass Dawn," available for download on Barnes & Noble's website). I wrote this story to encourage those who have lost hope.

The greatest Superbowl win in history was when the ultimate powers of darkness and all their armies came against one Man to defeat Him and destroy Him - Jesus Christ. In the end, He made fools of them all and took all their weapons away (which are used against us). The biggest weapon is death. "Whoever believes in Me shall never die." (John chapter 11).

Another weapon in their arsenal is accusing us of what we have done wrong. "He took the list of accusations against us and nailed it to His cross." (Colossians chapters 1 & 2).

"There is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (& His Kingdom). Romans chapter 8.

God will forgive you and adopt you into His forever family! And He will not remember the things you have done wrong anymore!

If you are in despair over your life, possibly even on the verge of taking your own life, realize that you are a Superbowl winner! Jesus Christ wants to give you a Superbowl ring & the right to become a member of His Kingdom! All you have to do is believe what He is saying to you, and accept the ring!

Sometimes during Christmas I think of July.

One July a few years ago my brother-in-law took his own life. He was only 22. No one had any idea he would do that - not even his best friend. He had plans to go to college, and his family loved him. To this day, it doesn't make sense.

Instead of looking for new clothes for him to take to school, we looked at caskets and headstones. And during holidays the memories come back.

I wrote a song called "In The End" and shared it at his funeral. I am putting this song out there now for others to hear.

We all have such a short time here on earth.

This Christmas, think of Jesus, who came to earth as a baby.
He lived a short life and then died for you and me.
To pay for the wrongs we have all done so that we might have a home with him that lasts forever. He rose from the dead and proved that death (and all the sad things that go with it) had been conquered.

It was hard for Him, but it's easy for us - just ask Him to forgive you and to be your Friend forever. Stay close to Him, learn more about Him - read the book of John (in the Bible - in a new translation you can understand) and find friends who love Him.

This Christmas could be difficult except that a way was made for all of us to live forever with Him.

July is over; now Christmas is almost here....
