Hey - A nod from Scotland!

Some of you asked for new tunes, so I've uploaded Anna and Rhona's Blue.
Heavy riff based rock for Anna, guitar courtesy of Paul McGuire from Glasgow. (Currently playing with the famous Hugh Reed And The Velvet Underpants.)
Rhona's Blue is a fat organ-driven funk boost, with horns coming in sweet and high from Matt Giella to help the mental health.

Both tracks off the album No Dice - No Dice because the powers that be do not understand we cannot breathe, drink or eat money; and unless we stop fighting each other and realise that our planet's habitable status is worrying scientists - a sign for me that shit is bad (just search for Termination Event Ice Loss or AMOC Feedback Loops) then we have lost the human race.

Music is always the best medicine and in these times, much medicine required eh?

Hope this gets to you in good fettle. Madness out there in the world today isn't it? I have a great new pop song ready for you all called- You Reaped What You Saw. It's a song about my father that I wrote as a poem 30 years ago. It covers the abusive neglect I experienced and it is very uplifting despite the lyrical content with a nice bassline, moving Rhodes piano and punching synth brass to top it off.

Hi everyone
I have a new composition for you all. A very haunting and atmospheric piece highlighting the greenwashing by governments. I am very concerned about the lies and BS being spouted by world leaders and the continued oil extraction by ignorance and avarice as we face extinction within this century. So many climate scientists outnumbered by corporate greed and lobbying groups. You will be affected. You have a voice. Peace to all, enjoy the day.
This was made using Yamaha's new vocal synthesis engine Vocaloid 6 and mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Andy Walter.

Ray Alexander has decided to return to composition and recording after the release of his second solo album No Dice. This is due largely to the feedback received from listeners. His intention was to return to painting after the album was completed in March of this year. He has now re-opened his studio to collaborate with the Scottish actor and singer Trish Mullin. Trish has performed in several Glasgow bands through the years. She has also played a large part in editing work by Ray Alexander in the (expired link) track Consciousness was originally inspired at first by the LaMDA AI chatbot that had fooled many people in believing that a proto-sentient algorithm had emerged. The concept of fusion betweenhumans and technology to create a Deus ex Machina resolution to the problem was clear and so the soundscape evolved.
This was also an opportunity for Ray to return to his first love, electronic music. Using an array of virtual analogue synthesizers and bleeding edge granular synthesis, along with the dynamic vocal of Trish Mullin. What he has produced is an incredible atmospheric composition suitable for Film and Television. A second collaborative release is due later this year.

This is a difficult song for me that I'm releasing today as it deals with the abuse I received as a child and I am still anxious about the content since I'm not very good with exposing my feelings like this. It's a bit different but I hope you enjoy the solo as I had written the organ part on the day when we heard news that a very dear friend of ours Angela had died in Italy.

I have found that no matter how insignificant the issue within, it's always better to air it. In fact I would go so far as saying that all feelings should be communicated. It's how we cope.
