Early life
Jewels was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, his family migrating to the US in the late 80’s, though – unable to obtain a visa for the child, leaving young Jewels behind. He lived with his grandmother on his father’s side for almost a year and half until his parents obtained that visa.
