Pretty Face - Pretty Good Song
Rebecca Boux's Pretty Face is a warm blend of relationship angst & acoustic energy. It's a well crafted song with thought-through lyrics, a good emotional build & fine musicianship - the band is tight & everything that happens serves the song. Nice guitar solo in the middle. Rebecca has a nice voice too & I could easily listen to more of her. Well done - I bet these guys would be good live. Keep it coming.

Beautiful!
I absolutely love your voice! And the music works so well with your voice aswell. The lyrical structure is also very well done. And the thought behind the song, just makes the song so much better. Could absolutely see myself adding this to my personal playlist. I simply love it. Thank you for sharing.

Great song from the heart!
For a long time, I thought I don´t write review for someone. But I like the song of Rebecca Boux so much, that I would like to express this in words. Her voice reminds me of Susann Vega, whom I liked to hear in the 80´s. Rebecca wrote an honest song about love and loss and that is why he sounds very authentic. Apparently, she sent her last friend into desert, because he wasn´t honest and broke her heart with stupid lies. The guitar sounds gently and at the same time powerful, which gives the song a wide dynamic range. The guitar solo fits well with the music. I would have done it somewhat earlier in the middle of the song. Her vocals have a really nice timbre and comes from the heart. Go on - I would like to hear more ;-)

Nice radio friendly US Pop sound
Hi Rebecca, Nice intro and guitar work. Immediately reminds me of Taylor Swift. Good ups and downs to the song, radio friendly happy summer song, nice vocals, very well done considering you say this is in demo form, not yet recorded professionally. It's very well done. With some mixing and mastering you could probably release it as is, I really like the 'rough' diamond songs personally instead of over produced songs with no character. This is good music, well played by solid musicians. Your vocals are clear and crisp. I think you're on track for going where you want to go with your music. Best of luck to you.

Pretty Face
A well produced song. It has essence of Michele Branch and maybe Jewel. Professional musicians and the singing is impeccable. The lyrics were good and made perfect sense fitting the over all theme of the song. For what it's worth coming from me? Well done! A song that could be on the radio today. The singer is the real deal with a natural God given talent~

Pretty darn good
This unplugged version is quite a good one. Rebecca sings about the things that mattered to her when it came to make changes in her life, and musically speaking the acoustic guitar lifts her voice just right. Will there be a studioversion of this track? In that case. Make the best of it! I can hear potetiale! Cheers

Wonderful
Your voice is amazing!!!!! deep and light voice in the brightness of the folk music. Guitar is leading the words, beautiful, higher and higher, until the end. Wish you the best! You deserve the rank #1. BRAVO!!!!

Pretty Face
Hi Rebecca, wow, what a great song, full of passion and verve. The drive of the song is great, as are the highs and lows, musically speaking. The bass lines are nice and solid, and the voice and breath control is superb. Take a pat on the back for that, excellent. Your voicing and phraseology are reminiscent of the sixties singer ''Melanie''. The drum beat, and I know of the pitfalls of drum machines, could have done with just a little bit of sprucing up, fortunately it is the style of song that does not need much in the way of cymbal work. The acoustic guitar work was also great, especially the solo, really nice and fluid, not at all spasmodic, which can be a pitfall of acoustics sometimes when notes do not ring out all the time. all in all, a really great song which you can be proud of.. Well done.

Pretty Face
Immediate impression - an excellent song with great vocal and a really nice clean production. For me, a touch of de-ess filtering to remove a bit of vocal sibilance (especially in the opening part of the song) would make this sound perfect. A really enjoyable listen Rebecca and I'm sure you'll do well with this one.

Pretty Face Review
This song has a good beat that has some urgency to it, matching the sentiment of the lyric. The pretty face line is a good hook that sticks with the listener and has universal meaning and appeal. The instrumentation is just the right amount for this arrangement, and the vocal is emotional without being over the top. Overall, good feel and the chorus is stuck in my head!

beautiful voice
you have a beautiful voice. keep singing and keep writing. Some of the recording is a little choppy, but overall it sounds really good. It's not my taste in music but your voice is really intoxicating, so definitely keep it up!

It needs work
The evolution of the song needs more clarity, it feels very repetitive. There are some good ideas in it but I find it hard to listen to it past the second go round of the chorus. And it's a shame because I quite like your voice, I just don't feel that this song brings out the best of you. Having said all that, it's important that you understand that I don't find the song boring at all, I just feel that with a little bit more work it can be so much better. I recommend that you try to find a chorus line more in sync with the words, because as it is, I find it quite easy to know what comes next, and a song needs to have that element of surprise. Best of luck

Very good.
Every element voice, guitar, words and recording are all great. As it stands it's well worthy of radio plays. All of that well done, but it lacks being memorable like a daily commute that one hardly notices unless something goes wrong. It needs something unexpected for me to really sit up and listen. Like the last two bars of guitar chops the rhythm, find stuff like that to lift it.
